No—it simply roars, and the jungle knows. An eagle doesn’t boast about being an eagle. Just keep watching the skies—sooner or later, you’ll notice a bird soaring with unmatched grace and power. That’s not a pigeon—it’s an eagle.

The pressure to prove a point must die within you if you must succeed in destiny.

If someone calls you a failure, forgive their ignorance. Let them learn. And if they insist on that label, leave them to God—the One who called you and is shaping your success.

If someone tells you you're not good enough for them, thank God. You may have just avoided marrying the wrong person. Let them walk away with their baggage. If a lady says she wants someone who already has everything (all the money in the world), bless her—and thank God for the one who will love you during your rise, so you’ll have no fear when you arrive at the top.

What You Need to Know About Late Gospel Actor Korede Are ‘Baba Gbenro’

A Life Dedicated to Ministry through Drama, Korede Are was not just an actor; he was also an evangelist and leader. He founded the Calvary Movie Drama Ministry in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, in September 1995, aiming to spread the gospel through the power of drama. He was also the CEO of Calvary Movie Television, furthering his mission of faith-based outreach.

Throughout his career, 'Baba Gbenro' fondly called by his stage name from the Mount Zion YouTube series “Abattoir,” featured in numerous Christian films and worked alongside notable Gospel actors such as Evangelist Mike Bamiloye, Damilola Bamiloye, and Tolulope Adegbo. His performances touched the hearts of many and inspired countless people to deepen their faith.

Personal Life and Legacy Born on June 11, 1959, Korede Are spent his early years in a village in Kano State, Nigeria, where he began his education. He later pursued further studies in Plateau State before relocating to Southwestern Nigeria for his Higher School Certificate (HSC) and university education.

Baba Gbenro’s commitment to sharing the gospel and impacting lives through drama has left an enduring legacy. Together with his wife, Bamike Rebecca Are, he worked tirelessly to promote Christian values and the teachings of Christ through their ministry.

The 65-year-old gospel movie actor sadly passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024, after a prolonged battle with liver disease.

The news of his passing was shared by his fellow actor, Oluwaseun Adejumobi, on Instagram, sparking an outpouring of grief from fans and colleagues alike.
