LULU BRIGGS SPLASHES MILLIONS OF NAIRA ON FINALISTS OF NDC SONG CONTEST
The Governorship candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress in Rivers State, High Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs has encouraged youths in the creative industry in the state to always dream big and aim higher in the pursuit of their life's goals and ambitions.
Lulu Briggs gave the charge at the weekend during the finals of the NDC Song challenge put together by the leadership of the Nigeria Democratic Congress in collaboration with Olowo Records, aimed at creating a platform to enable young up and coming musicians in the state to showcase their various skills.
While organisers of the competition had originally pegged the grand prize for the winner of the competition at one million Naira, however, the event took a pleasant dramatic turn when High Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs splashed one million Naira each to all 13 finalists of the competition, and an additional one million Naira to Soblizz - the winner of the competition.
On his part, Director of Creative Arts for NDC, Rivers State, Tamunotonye G. Olowosuko, who also doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of Olowo Records, commended High Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs and the Chairman of NDC in Rivers State, Success Jack for their commitment to giving a breath of fresh air to entertainers in the state.
He said the move shows that the NDC leadership in the state and her governorship have plenty of good things in store for the entertainment industry in the state and will actualise same when they take over the reins of leadership in the state.
Some of the contestants who spoke with our correspondent, expressed deep gratitude to Lulu Briggs, NDC leadership and Olowo Records for giving them the platform to showcase their skills.

Hon. Success Jack also announced that the party will soon unveil another round of competition for Poets and spoken word artists in the state.
