As the Executive Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, I have taken a bold step towards restoring peace and unity in the Eneka community by inaugurating a caretaker committee for the Community Development Committee (CDC). The committee, led by Rev. Dr. Fynface Akah, has a six-month mandate to reconcile all aggrieved parties, rebuild trust among stakeholders, and reestablish a functional and inclusive CDC.

I must admit that I was dissatisfied with the lingering leadership crisis in Eneka, which has persisted despite several peace meetings convened by my office. However, I believe that this caretaker committee will bring the necessary leadership and direction to the community. I have charged the committee to work tirelessly to achieve its objectives, stressing the importance of unity and progress in the community.

I am VERY SURE that the committee, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Fynface Akah, will succeed in its mission to restore peace and unity in Eneka. The committee has been given a clear mandate, and I have no doubt that they will work diligently to achieve their objectives. I urge all members of the Eneka community to support the committee and work together towards a common goal of peace, unity, and progress.

The inauguration of the caretaker committee marks a Greatest step towards resolving the leadership crisis in Eneka and promoting community development. I believe that with the right leadership and direction, the Eneka community can overcome its challenges and make progress. I wish the committee success in its endeavors and urge the community to cooperate with them to achieve their objectives.

As the Executive Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, I have taken a significant step towards promoting economic development and transparent governance in our council area.

Yesterday, I inaugurated two strategic committees, the Obio/Akpor International Market Verification Committee and the Obio/Akpor Economic and Investment Summit 2025 Committee, at the Council Secretariat, Rumuodomaya.

The inauguration of these committees is a clear indication of my commitment to charting a new course for economic growth, investment sustainability, and better management of our local assets. The Economic and Investment Summit Committee will develop a clear roadmap for the economic transformation of Obio/Akpor, while the Verification Committee will work to restore the Obio/Akpor International Market to its intended purpose.

During my address, I emphasized the importance of collaboration and partnership in governance, highlighting the need for a triple helix approach that brings together the academia, government, and the business community to work towards the development of our local economy.

I also commended the former Council Chairman, Hon. Chief Timothy Nsirim, for establishing the Obio/Akpor International Market, which I described as a valuable economic asset.

The inauguration of these committees marks a significant milestone in our council's journey towards economic development and transparent governance.

I believe that with the right approach and commitment, we can achieve our goals and make Obio/Akpor a thriving and self-sustaining local economy.

My leadership and vision are set to bring about positive change in our community, and I look forward to seeing the impact of these committees.
