Let's take a closer look at the incredible story of Engr. Samapson Ngerebara Adumu PhD.

Do You Know That In 1993, Engr. Adumu helped bring an end to the Andoni-Ogoni war, a conflict that had devastating effects on the people of Rivers State. But his contributions didn't stop there. He also took in and cared for victims from both ethnic groups, providing them with food and rehabilitation. His generosity and leadership didn't go unnoticed.

Born on June 1st, 1960, in Isi-ama Village, Andoni Local Government Area, Engr. Adumu's commitment to public service is inspiring. He obtained his M.Eng in Power Systems from the University of Port Harcourt in 2002.

Throughout his career, Engr. Adumu has held several positions of trust. He's been Vice President of the Andoni Progressive Union, President of the Students Union Government at the University of Port Harcourt, and even served as Hon. Commissioner for Works and Transport in Rivers State from 1992-1993.

Today, we honor Engr. Samapson Ngerebara Adumu PhD for his selfless service and dedication to the people of Rivers State. His legacy continues to inspire a new generation of leaders.

Oweizidei Thomas Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, storm ijaw youth council headquarter in Bayelsa State to supervise the ongoing project he is funding.

Tompolo, is a renown religious leader of the Woyin Religion, an indigenous belief system of the Ijaw people. He was a former leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), influenced by the Egbesu Deity, which represents truth, fairness, and equity - an alternate name for Woyin.

Tompolo and his followers participated in the Niger Delta arm struggle for the emancipation of the region. He is the chairman of Tantita Service Company.

News From Rivers State Government House:

In the State Executive Council meeting of 16 October, 2025, the Council took far-reaching decisions affecting the development of our dear State.

According to the governor :” We approved the revalidation of the construction of a 4.8km reinforced concrete shoreline protection and reclamation project at Queens Town, Epellema–Iloma–Minima Communities in Opobo/Nkoro LGA; the construction of a 2.5km shoreline protection and reclamation project in Ndoni, Oniukwu, Isuikwu and Ase-Azaga Communities, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA; the construction of another 2.5km shoreline protection and reclamation project for Utuechi, Obiofu, Isala, Ani Eze, and Odugiri Communities, also in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA; as well as the renovation, retrofitting and furnishing of the Rivers State Secretariat Complex, Port Harcourt.

Also, in a meeting with Traditional Rulers, the custodians of our culture and tradition, I took time to appreciate them for their prayers and support all through the trying times.

Record Set :

Government Ekpemupolo a.k.a Tompolo Donate a total sum of ₦10 BILLION only TO DELTA STATE SECURITY TRUST FUND

In a dazzle unexpected moment as a means of supporting the Delta State Government’s commitment to strengthening peace and security, the unregular public appearance, Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, donate #10 billion only as his own contribution to the Delta State Security Trust Fund.

The announcement was made during the official launch of the Delta State Security Trust Fund, currently ongoing at the Government House in Asaba, through the company MD Keston Pondi.

Other highly dignitaries includes Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, privates business representatives, top government officials, traditional rulers, security chiefs, and community leaders.

Tompolo’s donation marks one of the largest private contributions to a state security trust fund initiative in Nigeria, reinforcing his role as a key advocate for stability and development in the Niger Delta in the area of security .

His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, Governor of Rivers State, has approved the appointment of Hon Benibo Anabraba as Secretary to the Rivers State Government.

The new Secretary to Rivers State Government will be sworn-in according to His Excellency the executive Governor, on Monday, October 13, 2025, by 4pm at the State Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Port Harcourt.

Guests, are to be seated by 3:30pm.

Did You Know That Comrade Anthony Emmanuel Nte, is a distinguished philanthropist, maritime unionist, and visionary leader who has made significant contributions to the development of Agwut-Obolo, Andoni, Rivers State?

His impressive track record includes Massive Infrastructural Projects, Single-handedly executing numerous projects, such as road construction, bridge building, and public utilities development, which have greatly improved the lives of Obolo sons and daughters.

He consistently influences the Employment Opportunities and Providing jobs for hundreds of individuals from the community, contributing to the local economy and empowering families.

He was Born on October 1, 1960, in Agwut-Obolo Town, Comrade Nte's educational background includes Government Primary School, Agwut-Obolo, Ordinary National Diploma (OND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Public Administration, master's degree in business administration (MBA) from Ekiti State University (2007).

Comrade Nte's dedication to the maritime sector has yielded remarkable results such as District Chairman, Dock Workers Union Warri, President General Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (elected and re-elected in 2013).

Key Achievements:
Initiated and completed the ultra-modern Maritime Workers Secretariat in Abuja.
Instrumental in resolving disputes in maritime and port service operations in Nigeria.

The people of Obolo extend their heartfelt gratitude to President Tinubu, represented by Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, Honorable Minister for Petroleum, for the official commissioning of the $400 million Indigenous Crude Oil Terminal in Ikuru Town, Andoni LGA, Rivers State.

The Otakikpo Onshore Crude Oil Export Terminal, developed by Green Energy International Limited, operators of the Otakikpo field in OML 11, is a historic milestone, marking the first new crude export facility built in Nigeria in over 50 years.
