We are more than just our appearance

How’s Adulthood treating you? 🤧

Like it’s just another headline.

But these are real people.
Real lives.
Real pain.

And somehow…
we’ve gotten used to it.

The earlier we realize that Nigerians don’t always stand for Nigerians…
the better for us.

Because how do you explain
people defending what is clearly not working?

How do you explain
people speaking up… not for the people…
but for their own benefit?

Because they were paid.
Because they were endorsed.
Because it favors them.

Meanwhile…
the average person is just trying to survive.

Prices are rising.
Safety feels uncertain.
And hope is becoming harder to hold on to.

And yet…
instead of holding each other accountable…
we attack ourselves.

We argue.
We divide.
We defend what we should be questioning.

And at the end of the day…
it’s still the same people suffering.

Us.

Maybe the problem isn’t just leadership.

Maybe it’s the fact that we’ve stopped choosing each other.

Because a country can’t move forward…
if its people are constantly turning against themselves.

Nigeria is bleeding.

And until we start being honest about that…
nothing really changes.

I don’t know…
just thinking out loud.
