The Power of Paid Ads

One big lesson stood out for me: posting consistently isn’t always enough. Sometimes, what you truly need is Ads to push your content further.

Here’s what I learned:
✅ Ads boost visibility across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube & X.
✅ Unlike organic reach, they let you target the right audience people who’ve engaged with your content or those with similar interests, education, or hobbies.
✅ Ads can take many forms: videos, reels, images, carousels, and more.
✅ You don’t need a huge budget you can always start small and scale up.

Now I understand why a post with just a few likes suddenly goes viral targeted ads are at work.

This week’s lesson was all about portfolios. One of the most powerful tools for attracting and keeping clients.

Here’s what I took away:
✅ How to present deliverables professionally
✅ Best ways to handle client revisions with ease
✅ Onboarding & offboarding clients smoothly
✅ Building a portfolio even as a beginner (yes, you can start with what you already have)

We also explored creative ways to make our portfolio stand out, such as:
Writing captions using AIDA or PAS frameworks
Designing engaging carousels and reels
Adding a simple analysis report to show results.

This session reminded me that a portfolio isn’t just about showing work it’s about telling a story that inspires trust.

One big truth I took away is that AI isn’t here to replace us as content creator and social Media manager, it’s here to support us.

From brainstorming fresh ideas to drafting captions, designing layouts, and even automating repetitive tasks, AI can be a powerful partner when used the right way. The key is knowing how to work with it, not against it.

Here’s what Module 7 taught me

One of the biggest lessons I’m learning on this journey is that social media management isn’t just about posting content it’s about creating meaningful conversations and building strong communities.

In this class, we explored:
1. The different types of engagements every manager should know how to handle.
2. How to reply to followers like a pro clear, respectful, and on-brand.
3. Managing brand conversations seamlessly across multiple platforms.

Did You know what amazed me most during Hilda Baci iconic jollof rice cook-up?

Not just the giant pot or the endless hours of cooking but the little acts of intentional hygiene 👩🏽‍🍳✨

Each time a chef (even Hilda Baci) tasted the sauce, they didn’t just keep going. They instantly changed their gloves and put on a fresh pair. That level of discipline? Pure class. 🙌🏽

And yes, they even switched their face towels at intervals. Details most people would overlook, but they didn’t.

So when I see people questioning the hygiene of the process, I can’t help but laugh. 😂

If they could be that meticulous with the tiny details, how much more the overall cooking? 💯

This wasn’t just food it was professionalism, excellence, and respect served in the purest form. 👑

🌟 What I Thought vs. What I Know Now 🌟

When I signed up for this training, I honestly believed captions were just “that extra line you add after posting.” Nothing serious.

But five days into this journey, my mindset has completely changed.

Today’s class on captions was a real eye-opener. I learned that captions are more than just words. they’re your brand’s voice, the part of your post that convinces someone to stop scrolling, engage, and even take action.

Our coach Mbet Nelson showed us how captions follow a simple but powerful flow:
✨ Start with a Hook that grabs attention.
✨ Deliver value in the Body.
✨ End with a Call-to-Action that nudges people to respond.

And here’s something I didn’t realize before: captions don’t work the same way on every platform. What thrives on Instagram might flop on Facebook. Even small details like hashtags can make all the difference.

Walking out of today’s session, I feel more equipped than ever to write captions that don’t just exist but actually connect.

Day 5 down, and trust me, this journey has been worth every single step. 🚀

Not too long ago, I took a bold step and I signed up for the Skill-a-Thousand Digital Wakaa Training Programme. At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but deep down, I knew I wanted to grow, learn, and challenge myself.
