Years ago, I was invited, alongside several gospel music greats, to minister in a church in Port Harcourt. Am I not blessed?
When I opened the fridge in my hotel room, I was astonished at what I saw. Whiskey, brandy, cognac, Irish cream etc.

These hotels will not kill somebody o!(as we say in Nigeria).
The fridges in all the rooms were stocked with all manner of drinks, alcoholic and otherwise.
I knew that our church hosts couldnā€™t have put those drinks there for us. The tray of fruits and biscuits on the fridge must have come from the church. It was the hotel ā€¦ looking for trouble!
We had a tremendous meeting that night, raising the roof in high praise.
In the morning, however, (when our hosts arrived the hotel to take us to the airport, again as we say in Nigeria) ā€œalarm blowā€!

We were at the hotel lobby signing their checkout forms while the church protocol personnel and pastors were reconciling accounts for our lodging when an argument broke out.
The hotel supervisor announced with the voice and attitude of an auctioneer that the whiskey, brandy and Irish cream in Room 109 were missing from the fridge!
See me, see scandal!
The pastors were, to say the least, embarrassed.
Men and brethren, the minister in Room 109, hand-in-the-pocket, took a casual waik to the waiting protocol vehicle, leaving them to settle all that needed to be settledā€¦ the argument and the bill. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

Donā€™t come and ask me who was in Room 109 o!
