Message:The feast of propitiation (yum-kippur)
-----_----------------------------------
Is also known as a day of atonement (levt.16,1john 4:10)
It was a holy day in ancient Israelite worship where the high priest would perform rituals, including offering sacrifices and Sprinkling blood before the mercy seat, to appease God's wrath and atone the sin of the nation.
It's an over all term used for percifying the wrath of God, and reconciling to Him (propitiation).
It was a ritual sacrifice before Yeshua was born translated "Jesus the saviour" And it pleases God the father who sent him that he should be the ultimate restitution by sacrifice once for all mankind, and not only to those born in the house Is real. But also to those who accepted their ignorance and pour out their hearts to the saviour (John 1).
This assignment is the key and foundation of God's everlasting love and mercy to the inhabitants of the earth, "for other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ(1cor.3:11).
It was a day of resting from work, and afflicting the soul with sacrifice(fasting, worship and prayer).
Now on him paying these ultimate sacrifice, he has automatically became the high priest of the most holy Tabernacle of God in heaven, for the first Tabernacle of the congregation was a picture of what Moses saw in his vision that has holy of the holies;and the scripture says "only God is holy" (1sam.1vs2).
