Gombe State University has produced its overall best graduating student for the 2024/2025 academic session as Dr. Ibrahim Zamfara completed his MBBS program with a perfect CGPA of 5.00.
Dr. Zamfara’s result places him at the top of the graduating class, making him the Overall Best Graduating Student of GSU for the session. The achievement marks a rare academic milestone in Nigerian medical education, where a flawless 5.00 CGPA is seldom attained.
Beyond the overall grade, Dr. Zamfara earned distinctions in 10 core medical courses. The list includes Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Haematology, Medical Microbiology, Chemical Pathology, Histopathology, Pharmacology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and Internal Medicine.
The sweep of distinctions across both preclinical and clinical subjects reflects consistent performance from the first year through to final examinations.
Friends, colleagues, and well-wishers have flooded social media with congratulations, describing the feat as a testament to hard work, discipline, and resilience.
