To My Beautiful Daughters,
Life is a journey that will bring both joy and challenge, and while relationships can be a beautiful part of that journey, I want you to know that you are fully capable of thriving on your own. Here's some wisdom to guide you:
1. Know Who You Are.
Your worth is not tied to a relationship. Learn yourself. Love yourself. Understand your strengths, your values, and your boundaries. The more rooted you are in your identity, the less likely you are to settle for less than you deserve.
2. Get Your Own Money.
Financial independence is freedom. Work hard, build your skills, and never rely solely on someone else to provide for you. Have your own bank account, your own goals, and your own backup plan.
3. Master Self-Care.
Know how to cook, clean, manage your space, fix things when needed—and take care of your mental and emotional health too. It’s not just about survival; it’s about thriving in your own space and loving the life you build.
4. Build a Solid Sisterhood.
Surround yourself with women who uplift and inspire you. True sisterhood will remind you that you're never truly alone—even without a man by your side.
5. Set Standards, Not Ultimatums.
Know what you want and what you won't tolerate. If a man adds to your peace, welcome him. But never let someone subtract from your joy just to say you have someone.
6. Grow Spiritually.
Stay connected to God. In times when you feel lonely, confused, or broken, your faith will hold you together. Trust that your journey has purpose even when it doesn't follow the traditional path.
7. Have Fun and Live Boldly.
Travel. Laugh. Create memories. Chase your dreams. Don’t wait for a partner to live the life you want—start now.
Remember, my loves: A man can complement your life, but he should never be the source of your identity or your survival. You're already whole.
With love and pride,
Dad
