APPOINTMENT OF YAYARI AHMED MOHAMMED AS PDP ACTING NATIONAL CHAIRMAN

Following the suspension of His Excellency, Amb. Illiya Damagum as the Acting National Chairman of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the National Working Committee (NWC) has approved the appointment of Alhaji Yayari Ahmed Mohammed as the Acting National Chairman.

The appointment which takes immediate effect is pursuant to the provisions of the Constitution of the PDP (as amended in 2017)

The NWC calls on all Organs, leaders, critical stakeholder and members of our great Party to remain focused at this critical time especially as the NWC commences arrangements towards the holding of the Party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting already scheduled for Thursday, 24th October, 2024.

CHIEF DAVID OMEREJI HELD AN INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH YOUTHS OF EMOHUA LGA.

Chief David Omereji, Emohua LGA Chairman candidate of APP, held an interactive session with the youths.

He outlined his administration's accomplishments during his tenure as CTC Chairman. Notable achievements within three months include:
1. Completing the Ubimini-Awara link road. 2. 2.Securing Elibrada Secondary School's extensive land with fencing
3. Progressing Elder Tasie's road construction in Ibaa.
4. Restoring electricity in Akpabu , Itu, Amapu-Egbeda and Alimini communities.
5. Funding for lighting up other communities in Emolga.
6. Advancing work on the Rivers State High Court, Emohua Division.
7. Implementing a ward empowerment program of Ten Million per wars.
8. Establishing vigilante group of 18 persons per ward with payment of 100k each.
And many more.

Chief Omereji expressed optimism that Ndele and Odegu would be light up in the coming days.

He refuted the news that Rivers State Ministry of Power donated transformers to the LGA. He stated that the transformers were bought with LGA resource under his watch.

He thanked the people for their support for Gov. Sim Fubara. He reassured the youths that he would do better when he returns as substantive chairman of the LGA.

Emohua Local Government Area (LGA) has witnessed a remarkable transformation under the leadership of Hon. David Omereji. Taking over a dilapidated government from Dr. Chidi Lloyd, Hon. Omereji focused on reforming and restructuring, ensuring the completion of abandoned projects and mobilizing contractors to site.
