Linguistics relativity also known as the whorf hypothesis, the saphir whorf hypothesis, is a principle suggesting that the structure of a language influences it's speaker's world view or cognition and thus individuals thought about reality and their behavior.
It refers to the proposal that the particular language one speaks influences the way one thinks about reality, the structure of a language influences it's speakers on conception or perception of the world.
Saphir and whorf argued that individuals are not aware of this influences of language and it's only when moving between cultures that this individuals become aware of this influences.

Social research.
Why do we do research?

Information gathered from research can help us predict the behavior of certain individuals or groups.

When we have a good understanding of a social phenomenon, we may have a better idea of how to govern or guide it.

Through the investigation on social phenomenon and element, social researchers explore almost all areas of human behavior to gain a greater understanding of individuals and societies and how to help make better choices from a question about a new trend to an age old behavior can inspire a research.
It helps us solve problems because effective policy making and implementation requires that we understand the problems and the solution we are proposing to solve the problem.
We do research because speculations( rumors) about present human conditions are wide spread so they need testing for reality.
We need research in order to demystify ( explain) the social world and the universe.
In a continuous changing world,past studies are quickly updated so there is a need to continue to do research in order to update our stock of knowledge and information.

Research is the dilligent inquiry or examinations to seek or revise facts, principles, theories,applications etc, the laborious or continuous search after truth.

Research in sociology can be said to be sociology inquiry which is the methodical analysis of the inspirations and behavior of individuals within a group.
