Being a single mum has reshaped my heart and strengthened my faith. Every day comes with sacrifices—loving, giving, and showing up even when no one sees the effort. I carry burdens alone and fight silent battles, driven by the fear of failing because my daughter looks up to me.
But in my weakest moments, God reminds me that I am never alone. He gives me strength when I feel tired, courage when I feel afraid, and hope when the journey feels heavy. Every prayer I whisper, every tear I hide, and every sacrifice I make is for my child’s future. I am doing my best with what I have, trusting God to do the rest.
To every single mum reading this: you are stronger than you think. Your sacrifices are not wasted, your love is powerful, and your faith is carrying you through. You are not failing—you are rising. God sees you, and your child is blessed because of you. Keep going. 🤍🙏

“Be Like Rice, Stew, and Plantain”
— A motivational talk about growth, patience, and purpose

🍚 1. RICE – The Foundation

Lesson: Be steady and dependable.

Rice is the base of the meal — it carries everything else.
It doesn’t have much taste alone, but when combined with stew and plantain, it becomes complete.

🎯 Moral:

> Be like rice — simple, humble, but strong enough to carry greatness.
You don’t have to shine alone; your true value shows when you connect with purpose and people.
In life, your consistency is your foundation. Stay grounded even when no one is watching.

🍅 2. STEW – The Flavor

Lesson: Add passion and creativity to what you do.

Stew brings color, taste, and energy. It’s the excitement in the plate!
But stew doesn’t happen easily — it goes through fire, frying, and mixing before it becomes sweet.

🎯 Moral:

> The fire you face in life is part of your preparation.
Don’t fear the heat — it’s what brings out your flavor.
Keep your energy bright; you are the spice that can change any environment.

🍌 3. PLANTAIN – The Sweetness

Lesson: Be kind, joyful, and uplifting.

Plantain is the extra touch that makes everyone smile.
Even though it’s optional, once it’s there, everyone wants it.

🎯 Moral:

> Be like plantain — bring joy wherever you go.
Add sweetness to people’s lives through kindness, laughter, and love.
You don’t have to be the biggest part of the plate to make the biggest impact.

🌈 CONCLUSION:

When life serves you challenges, remember this:

> Be like rice — steady.
Add stew — passion.
Sprinkle plantain — kindness.
That’s the full meal of success. 🍽️

Nigeria started using coins officially in 1912 under the British West African Currency Board. Paper money came in 1918, but coins and notes were used together for many years. In 1959, the Central Bank of Nigeria began issuing Nigeria’s own currency, and by 1973, the naira and kobo fully replaced British money. Although coins were reintroduced in 2007, Nigerians rejected them, and today coins are almost out of use while paper money and digital payments dominate.

God’s Consistency in Our Lives

One of the most comforting truths about God is that He never changes. While people, situations, and even our emotions can shift like the wind, God remains steady and faithful. His love is not seasonal, His promises are not fragile, and His presence is not temporary—He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8).

Every day, whether we notice it or not, God shows His consistency. The rising of the sun, the breath in our lungs, the peace in our hearts during storms, the quiet strength when we feel weak—all these are gentle reminders of His unfailing presence. Even when we stumble or fall short, He does not withdraw His love. Instead, He patiently guides us back to Himself.

✨ Reflection: No matter where you are or what you face, you can rest in this truth—God is always there, always faithful, always consistent.

The Bridge in the Fog

Amara was walking home late one evening when a thick fog covered the road. She reached a wooden bridge she had to cross, but she couldn’t see the other side. Fear gripped her—what if the bridge was broken? What if she fell?

She stood there trembling until she remembered the voice of her grandmother: “When you cannot see the road, trust the One who made it.”

Taking a deep breath, Amara whispered a prayer: “Lord, I trust You. Guide my steps.”

She placed one foot on the bridge, then another. Slowly, carefully, she kept walking. The fog did not clear, but she kept moving, step by step. Finally, her feet touched solid ground. She had made it safely across.

Amara smiled, realizing something powerful—she didn’t need to see the whole path. She only needed to trust the One who held it together.

🌿 Lesson: Trusting God is like walking across a foggy bridge—you may not see the end, but He already knows the way

My Story of Hope

I can still remember the days of deep tribulation—when nothing seemed to work, when it felt like there was no way forward. Every day was filled with tears and pain, and it seemed as though life had no meaning. But in the middle of that darkness, I held on to prayer. I kept my faith alive, believing that one day God would save me. And truly, He showed up. He turned my sorrow into joy and proved that hope in Him is never wasted. My life is a testimony that no matter how heavy the storm, God will always come through.
Hope in God means resting your heart in His faithfulness. No matter how heavy the storm or how long the wait, you can be confident that God will never fail you. His timing is perfect, His promises are sure, and His power is limitless. Don’t let go—trust that what He has spoken, He will surely do.

To have hope in God is to place complete confidence in His character and promises. It is choosing to believe that God is at work even when evidence seems lacking. Hope fuels perseverance, strengthens faith, and anchors the soul in the certainty that God’s word cannot fail. True hope in God is not passive waiting, but active trust that He will bring His will to pass.
