After 14 years of marriage, I have finally reached my breaking point. I can no longer silently endure the maltreatment from my husband. For years now, my husband has been doing something that is completely draining my spirit. Every time I come back from the market with my business money, he goes into my bag and steals from me. It has become a repetitive habit.

My husband’s constant nagging and pretense started back when I was pregnant with our second baby. Every single day he walks through the door, it’s just complaints and endless drama. While he drops a little money for food, every other major bill falls squarely on my shoulders—he doesn't even care if his own daughters have clothes to wear.

​To survive, I started cooking and selling okpa alongside my hairstyling. Meanwhile, he always claims he has no money, yet magically acquires new things. When he bought a motorcycle, he swore it wasn't his, but he’s the one riding it to this day.

​We can't talk like normal couples. He completely disregards my presence and my advice. The silent treatment and emotional wickedness are breaking me; sometimes I greet him and he just walks right past me. My mother keeps telling me to 'endure,' but this endurance is slowly leading me to depression. I honestly wonder if he is treating me this way simply because I gave him girls. I am losing my inner peace.

What do I do? 😭
