Being the Temporary Site for the Malaria External Quality Assurance Center (EQA) since 2022, Noma Children Hospital, Sokoto hosted the IHP Formal Transfer of the State Malaria External Quality Assurance (EQA) Reference Laboratory to the Sokoto State Government.
In attendance was the Commissioner of Health who was represented by Dr. Adamu Abubakar (Director Medical Services, SMOH), Alhaji, Bello Garba Manager (Hon S.A SSPHCDA), Dr. Usman Al-Rashid (IHP State Director), Dr. Hauwa (IHP State Technical Director), Aliyu Attahiru (Deputy director Laboratory Services, SMoH), Dr. Dan Malam Muchedi (Director Medical Services, HSMB), Dr Zainab Mohammad (Technical Advisor, IHP) & Dr. Abdullahi Abubakar Bello the Chief Medical Director of the Hospital also present at the handing-over.
Speaking, the Chief Medical Director acknowledges the organization's efforts in facilitating the training of personnel and training equipment for diagnosing Malaria in the state.
