Day 13: WHEN EVERYTHING FELT NEW AND I ALMOST GAVE UP

Starting a new role can be exciting… and overwhelming. I once joined a team where everything was unfamiliar—new systems, new processes, and a pace I wasn’t used to.
The first few weeks were rough. I made mistakes and doubted myself. But instead of quitting mentally, I started asking questions, observing, and learning one thing each day. Slowly, I got better.
Looking back, I’m proud I didn’t give up. GROWTH RARELY LOOKS LIKE SUCCESS AT FIRST IT OFTEN LOOKS LIKE CONFUSION, BUT THAT’S WHERE THE MAGIC BEGINS .

THE POWER OF A SIMPLE “THANK YOU ”

Have you ever worked somewhere that felt… cold? Like everyone was just doing tasks, not connecting?
That was the atmosphere in one of my previous workplaces. Everyone was result-driven, but no one was appreciated. It slowly drained the energy out of the team.
One day, I decided to start small. After every task, I sent short thank-you notes or mentioned people’s efforts in meetings. At first, it felt awkward—but after a few weeks, things changed. People smiled more, volunteered to help, and communication became easier.
That’s when I learned something powerful: appreciation is free, yet it pays the highest returns.

I had to take a little break from my 30-day challenge because I wasn’t feeling too well. My body reminded me that it needed rest — and honestly, I listened. 💛
It’s so easy to get caught up chasing goals and forget that health is wealth. Rest is not giving up, it’s recharging.
I’m back now — stronger, refreshed, and ready to continue this journey with gratitude and more care for myself.
If you’ve been pushing too hard lately, take this as your sign to pause, breathe, and rest. Your health comes first. 🌿

Day 9: MY FAVORITE PRODUCTIVITY HACK

If there’s one thing this career teaches you, it’s how to stay productive even when your mind wants to check out.
My go-to trick? The “three-task rule.”
Every morning, I write down three key things that must get done — no matter what. Everything else is a bonus.

It keeps me focused, less overwhelmed, and more present. Over time, I realized productivity isn’t about doing more — it’s about doing what matters most.

✨ Tip: Simplicity beats chaos. Always.

This week I would want to talk about THE REALITIES OF THE JOB

Day 8: A Day in My Life as a VA + HR

People often ask what my typical day looks LIKE, truth is, no two days are ever the same.
Some mornings start with team meetings, others with client calls or reviewing resumes. By midday, I’m toggling between tools, scheduling tasks, and handling employee queries.

There’s always something new to learn or fix. But I’ve learned that structure saves me planning my day in blocks, keeping my to-do list realistic, and giving myself space to breathe between tasks.

✨ My secret: I plan for flexibility. Things will shift, and that’s okay.

What’s one habit that keeps your workday flowing smoothly?

Day 7: What This Journey Has Taught Me So Far

One week into this 30-day journey, and I’ve found myself reflecting on how much growth can happen quietly in the background of deadlines, calls, and late-night planning sessions.

Being both a Virtual Assistant and an HR professional has taught me so much about people, patience, and purpose.

I’ve learned that:

People matter more than processes. The best systems still need a human touch.

Patience builds progress. Not every goal happens fast, and that’s okay.

Purpose keeps you grounded. On tough days, remembering why you started can keep you going.

There have been highs moments of accomplishment and pride and lows where I questioned if I was doing enough. But through it all, I’ve realized I’m not just building a career; I’m building resilience, clarity, and confidence in who I am becoming.

✨ My biggest takeaway: growth doesn’t always look loud. Sometimes it’s happening quietly in the background while you just keep showing up.

If you’ve had a moment lately that reminded you how far you’ve come even in small ways celebrate it today

Day 6: What People Often Get Wrong About My Job

One thing I’ve learned along the way is that being a Virtual Assistant and HR professional comes with a lot of misconceptions.

People often assume being a Virtual Assistant means “just replying to emails” or “doing admin tasks.” But there’s so much more to it (strategy, organization, communication, and trust.) You become the behind-the-scenes brain that keeps everything moving.

And when it comes to HR, many think it’s just about hiring or enforcing rules. But the heart of HR is people, listening, understanding, and creating systems that help everyone work better together. It’s not just policies; it’s empathy, timing, and balance.
The truth is, both roles require patience, skill, and emotional intelligence. Some days, you’re the planner. Other days, you’re the problem-solver, counselor, or even the calm in someone else’s storm.

✨ What I wish more people knew: being “support” doesn’t make you less important. You’re the one who helps others do their best work and that’s powerful.

Have you ever had someone misunderstand whatyou really do for a living? How did you explain it?

Day 5: The Challenge That Almost Made Me Quit

When I first started out as a Virtual Assistant and HR professional, I thought I had to know it all. Every tool, every task, every process. But reality humbled me quickly.

I remember one of my earliest assignments: managing schedules, coordinating tasks, and handling reports all at once. I was nervous and constantly double-checking everything, terrified of making a mistake. And yes, I did make one 😔I sent the wrong file to a client. It wasn’t a disaster, but in that moment, it felt huge.

For a while, I questioned if I was really cut out for this. But instead of quitting, I decided to learn. I took notes, asked questions, watched tutorials, and most importantly, gave myself grace. Slowly, I became more confident, more organized, and much better at handling pressure.

That experience taught me something I’ll never forget, mistakes aren’t failures, they’re teachers.

✨ Lesson from that chapter: growth doesn’t come from getting everything right. It comes from staying the course even when you feel lost.

What’s one challenge in your work journey that taught you something valuable?

Day 4: Monday Wins & My First Big Break

It’s Monday 😁the day that always seems to arrive too quickly. Emails pile up, tasks compete for attention, and the to-do list suddenly feels endless.

I’ve learned that Mondays set the tone for the entire week, so instead of fighting them, I try to make them work for me. I start with one key task (something that gives me a quick win and reminds me that I’m capable) . That small sense of progress fuels the rest of my day
Funny enough, that’s how my first big win as a Virtual Assistant happened. I started my morning with a single goal: to fix a client’s disorganized system. It felt small at first, but that one focused effort led to something bigger (a smoother workflow, a happy client, and a major confidence boost for me).

That win taught me two things:

- Every big result starts with one focused action.

- Mondays don’t have to feel overwhelming they can be your launchpad.

So today, don’t aim to do everything. Just start with one thing that moves you closer to your goals.
✨ Lesson for today: small wins on a Monday can set the rhythm for a successful week.

How do you usually kick off your Mondays, with energy, coffee, or pure survival mode?

Day 3
SUNDAY RESET
RECHARGING FOR A BUSY WEEK

Sundays are my pause button. After a week full of juggling clients, managing HR tasks, staying on top of Deadlines and taking care of the kids☺️, it’s easy to feel drained before Monday even starts.

But I’ve learned that how I spend Sunday directly affects how productive and focused I’ll be in the week ahead. Here’s what works for me:

1.Digital detox for a bit: I step away from Slack, emails, and notifications. It helps me clear my mind.

2. Planning, not stressing: I take 15-20 minutes to list my top priorities for the week. Knowing what’s coming eases the Monday chaos.

3. Movement & fresh air: A walk, light workout with friends as my gym (I-FITNESS) is not open on Sunday

4.A hobby or small joy: Listening to music, or simply having a long gist with my kids (lots of which is not real)

The goal isn’t to be “productive” all day but to recharge in a way that sets you up for success.

✨ Tip I’ve learned: a rested mind is far more creative and resilient than one running on fumes.

How do you recharge on Sundays before a busy week?

Day 2: My Journey Into VA + HR

When people hear “Virtual Assistant” or “HR Administrator,” they often picture someone who already had it all figured out from the start. Truth is, my journey has been anything but a straight line.

I didn’t wake up one morning knowing how to juggle payroll, manage people, or organize clients’ work across different tools. I started with curiosity, a willingness to learn, and (honestly) a lot of trial and error.

Becoming a VA taught me how to be resourceful — from figuring out tools I had never heard of to managing clients across time zones. HR, on the other hand, shaped me into someone who sees beyond the paperwork to the real humans behind every policy, system, or process.

There were moments I felt lost, like I didn’t know enough or wasn’t moving fast enough(feeling like that right now) 😔But looking back, each challenge stretched me and helped me grow. That’s the thing about this journey cos it’s not about perfection, it’s about progress.

Today, I can confidently say both VA and HR opened doors I never thought possible. And I’m still learning, still growing.

✨ Lesson from my journey so far: you don’t need to have it all figured out to start.
YOU JUST NEED TO START.
