Ayinla had a running battle with his first son Akeem. He wanted him to go to the University to read Law, so, he could help him to vet his musical contracts and other engagements. Ayinla believed that he was being cheated. But Akeem was living a celebrity life bc of his father's popularity. Anywhere he went, he was treated like a Prince. The adoration went into his head. He realized that no matter how much he requested from his father's patrons, he would be given with much happiness. Akamo, one of the patrons really spoiled Akeem thinking that he was doing Ayinla a favour.

Akeem later became difficult to control by Ayinla. In anger, Ayinla sang a hit song against his first son.

The song later helped many parents to wake up and to properly train their sons and daughters. The transcript of the song is by Ayandele Rasheed Ayantayo and translated by Onibonokuta Kolawole Evans.

Non Yoruba Speakers should just go straight to the English translation.

Ireeeee kabiti !!!! Many fathers especially in Mushin area, Lagos always play this song once they have an issue with their sons especially. Also note that the talking drum will be in the background. It was not uttered by Ayinla himself but chanted by the Lead Ayan drum to support the message. Isegoju was also one of the patrons that spoiled Akeem. Elemere also was a patron. Ayinla was not directing the song to them but was only greeting them.

To me, Ayinla should have abandoned Akeem and picked at least 4 others including girls to read law. The rest is history. . . . .

The child that is profligate with education lend me your ear
The child that is profligate with education lend me your ear
A useless person, it is guinea fowl egg that he is eating
He has entered into the house
Where is he that we don’t see him outside?
Suffering is there for an obstinate child
Weeping is there for a child playing truancy
(Talking Drum:
He is not a child
A useless child, he is not a child)

He that is profligate in the morning remember the night
The mother may go to the river, and the father to the farm
Remember that it will remain only you with your character
All the knowledge you have kept inside
That is the truth, is the one that can help you
(TD:Isegoju Adisa, let us keep saying the truth
The inner truth is more potent than charm
Let us keep saying the truth)

The mother is telling them
They don’t want to listen
The father is telling them
They don’t want to accept
They are being obstinate
In the long run
It will be only you with your character
A troublesome child that causes the death of his mother
A child who refuses to listen to his parents and used the farm as collateral to borrow money
(TD:Yebeere, Yebeere, A useless person,
A ruiner,
He does not buy a Raleigh bicycle
He is threatening
That he will buy a car
He does not buy a Raleigh bicycle)

A child that will be savvy in this world
It is from the childhood that he will be highly intelligent
With the knowledge they are teaching him
I see it clearly
He will be established, he will be deeply rooted
He will be a kapok tree in the eye of the worthless
Truant child that is disturbing the home
(TD: He is not a child
A useless child, he is not a child)

Anigilaje I will speak
The king does not arrest the musician
Look at the pen of the child that will want to destroy his inheritance
The school bell sounds
It is a useless thing that the child is doing
The bad head (destiny) does not let a sheep has horns
Be attentive to it, if there is nothing like this
A child that has someone to train him
Suppose to accept his education till the end
Lucrative business(Elemere I salute you) is what we use the morning for
Don’t play with your morning, it does not pay
It is through work that will use to be great

Remember that half education cannot be used to work
Unless someone that read his book very well
That is the one we are seeing
Before you can become extremely independent
Don’t from form 3 become pregnant
Don’t from form 4 exchange form 5 with a wife
Finish the remaining one, man do you hear?

I stop here
Being loquacious is the one that starts a fight
If we say a little maybe they will understand.

MY ADVISE FOR WOMEN DURING THEIR PERIOD ….

As a woman seeing her period.. please do not do the following things..

1: Do not drink cold water. Ice or coconut water during your period to avoid blood clotting..

2: Do not have segz during your period because your V is very soft during your period and can easily be infected with bacteria.. virus and the rest.. and not just that .. it’s not healthy and adviceable to have segz during one’s period.

3: Do not eat cucumbers during your period because saps in the cucumber might block the menstrual free flow in the uterine walls and this may cause or lead to infertility.

4: During your period.. wash the V with hot water.. not very hot.. it helps in bringing out clots of blood if there’s..

5: Do not hit your body or abdomen against any hard surface because it might lead to excess bleeding or even painful cramps..

6: Avoid taking too much sugar few days before your period or during the first 2 days of your period because this might cause heavy flow or painful cramps too.

7: Do not wear pads for long hours to avoid bumps and rashes..

8: Bath at least twice or thrice a day ..

9: Do not wash the V with soap.. rinse with clean water .. if at all you need to wash with soap.. let it be mild soap and not scented..

10: Avoid pads that gives you discomfort

11: Check the expiry date of pad before wearing.

12: Have your panties for period.. and keep them aside.

13: Don’t park your panties to wash later after period.. wash immediately you removed them to avoid Infections.

14: Dispose your sanitary pads safely.. don’t dump them on the road.. don’t litter them in your house.

15: Take hot tea during your period or even hot water.. it will help the flow to run well and normal and also in bringing out blood clots..

16: After your period.. sit on a hot bucket of water with scent leaves and salt added inside.. don’t allow your body to touch the water please.

17: Wear good and sanitary pants during period to avoid pads shifting and staining your clothes ..

18: Put extra pads in your bag while going out to a place you might take hrs..

19: Change pads often depending on how your flow is.. either heavy or light.

20: Practice good hygiene during your period. Keep everything and everywhere neat and clean.
