It is heartbreaking to see the insecurity situation in our country continue to claim innocent lives.
The reported death of retired Major General Rabe Abubakar in captivity after being abducted alongside his wife in Katsina State is a painful tragedy. Beyond the loss of a respected citizen, it is another reminder of the urgent need to address the security challenges confronting our nation.
Government at all levels must be held accountable and must do more to protect lives and property. No family should have to endure such pain and uncertainty.
May Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family the strength to bear this difficult loss. Ameen.
