Obol Lopon of Ugep & Yakurr Traditional Leaders Visit Hon. Godwin Ettah Over Son’s Passing

His Royal Majesty, Obol Ofem Ubana Eteng—the Obol Lopon of Ugep and Paramount Ruler of Yakurr—led a solemn delegation of clan and village heads on a condolence visit to Hon. Godwin Ettah, mourning the painful loss of his son, Godspower.

The traditional rulers offered prayers and words of comfort, describing Godspower as a bright light whose academic brilliance and love for knowledge left a lasting mark. His untimely departure is a tragedy not just for his family, but for the entire Ugep community.

Hon. Ettah expressed deep gratitude for the royal visit, noting that the support has brought strength and healing during this dark time.

This visit reflects the true spirit of Yakurr culture—unity in grief, and strength in togetherness. 🕊️
