NIGERIA: WHERE TRUTH FADES AND INTEGRITY BOWS TO MONEY
In 1999, Bayo Onanuga’s news magazine exposed documented evidence of Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s certificate forgery.
Again, in 2002, Festus Keyamo sued Tinubu and the Lagos State House of Assembly, accusing them of forgery and perjury for shielding him from justice.
By 2006, Nuhu Ribadu, then EFCC Chairman, investigated and openly declared Tinubu a corrupt governor implicated in financial improprieties.
In 2023, Daniel Bwalla, serving as PDP presidential spokesperson, warned Nigerians that “even if Tinubu is given 30 years, nothing will happen.”
Ironically, today, Bayo Onanuga, Festus Keyamo, Nuhu Ribadu, and Daniel Bwalla all serve under Tinubu’s government, the very man they once condemned. Meanwhile, he presides over inflated contracts and phantom projects with reckless impunity.
This, tragically, is the reality of Nigeria, a nation where truth fades, conscience is traded, and integrity bows before power and money.
