Abia Set To Host 5th National Open Para Badminton Championship, Visiting Inspector Okays Facilities Fit For International Stage

The 5th Edition of the Para Badminton Championship is set to kick off in Abia State on July 14 to run through July 18, 2025.According to the Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Mr Nwaobilor Ananaba during a press conference on Sunday, he said the sports competition is meant for athletes with physical challenges and will prepare the athletes for the Abia first International Badminton Championship and also the All African Para Badminton Championship.

Governor Otti Condoles With Federal Government On Death Of Former President Buhari

The Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has received the sad news of the passing of the immediate past President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Alhaji Mohammadu Buhari, GCFR.

Governor Otti sends his condolences to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the federal government of Nigeria and the family of the deceased former president.

Finally, Governor Otti, on behalf of his family and the good people of Abia State enjoins the ex President’s family and loved ones to bear his demise with fortitude, while praying that God grants his soul eternal repose.

Armed Bandits Storm Police Camp In Kebbi, Cart Away Rifles

Armed Bandits has attacked a police camp in Makuku Village in the Sakaba Local Government Area of Kebbi state, Nigeria.

CANDID REPORTERS learnt that more than 300 armed stormed the place and cart away eight AK-47 rifles.

Sources who spoke to renowned security expert, Zagazola Makama, revealed that the heavily armed attackers, believed to be cattle rustlers with a large herd taken from Niger State on their way to Zamfara, initiated the assault around 1:00 p.m.
