FROM THE EDITORIAL DESK
LIVING IN THE LIGHT OF EXCEEDING GREAT JOY
“When they saw the star, they rejoiced with great joy.” Matt. 2:10.
A literal star, sovereignly positioned by God, led real men across real miles to meet the real Messiah. That same historical moment still fuels present-tense gladness for every believer.
With every sense of humility, I invite you all to pause and reflect on a joy that is not ordinary, not fleeting, but exceeding great joy—the kind that overflows beyond circumstances, beyond human explanation, and beyond the limits of our own strength.
This joy is not rooted in possessions, achievements, or the applause of others. It springs from a deeper well—the assurance that we are loved, seen, and guided by the One who holds the universe in His hands. It is the joy that lights up the darkest night, just as a star once guided wise seekers to the place where hope was born.
Exceeding great joy transforms how we see life. It turns trials into testimonies, waiting into worship, and challenges into opportunities for faith to grow. It is not the absence of pain, but the presence of peace in the midst of it.
Therefore, let us carry this joy into our homes, our workplaces, and our communities. Let it be the melody in our hearts, the kindness in our words, and the strength in our steps.
…And as we live in this exceeding great joy, (which is not just for a season—but a way of life), may others be drawn to its source, finding in us a reflection of the light that never fades, let us embrace it, share it, and let it shine.
Happy new year.

“THE SONG OF JOY”
Joy like the morning sun,
breaking through the night—
not small, not silent,
but overflowing, radiant, bright.
It is the laughter of the soul,
the peace that storms can’t take,
the light that guides the weary heart
and heals the deepest ache.
Exceeding great joy is a gift,
not earned, but freely given—
a whisper from eternity,
a taste of heaven’s living.
So let us walk in its glow,
share it with every voice and hand,
until the world feels its warmth
and knows the joy that will forever stand
