So a particular video of a woman videoing a school and calling them out has been trending online , she said her child was sent home from school for coming to school by 8: 30am .
My take ,both the woman and the school school to be shut down for doing what exactly?First what is the time for resuming for the school,what time do they close the school gate .
What if the school has led down rules and regulations of not tolerating late coming within a time frame ? She said her child came home alone and the school is lucky she wasn't the one that brought the child to school 🤦🤦,. It's obvious her house is not far from the school . Since you know your ward was late why didn't you go with her to the school to explain why she is late at least ? No ,you rather choose to send her to school alone to achieve what exactly?
My kids attends a Catholic school here in Mpape and it has been clearly stated that " No child will be allowed into the school premises immediately it's 8:30am and because I don't want that I make sure they leave the house at least 7:30am thou sometimes earlier to avoid breaking the school rule so what if it's the same with this school? But because we think everything is all about calling out and people will support our ignorance, we end up breeding kids who will not have value for time keeping.
Your child not attending Morning assembly is wrong because some important announcements are made at the assembly ground( thou I don't know if this is still obtainable)and it is also part of training, everything is not all about curriculum activities, assembly is an extra curriculum activity .
We want to give our children soft landing like oyibo and it's fine,🤷 , but make sure you are picking the right soft landing .
I grew up in Warri , my primary school Maryland Nursery and primary school was in Bazunu close to igbudu market and initially we were staying in Willie Street off Okumagba avenue ,we trek to Bazunu every day , we moved to Adeniyi very far from the school, Guy we pass through apia way to get to Bazunu everyday because my Dad is not that type that will give you soft landing but it doesn't not take away the fact that he was the best Dad and he really prepared us for the outside world. In my school if you don't pay school fees on time ,you are sent back home and nothing go happen if e pain you ,pay your ward school fees on time but now it's not obtainable bah ?
However the school will be held accountable or we can say the school was wrong if there wasn't a set down rule in respect to their action.( Hope we understand this part )
