MEET OUR PANELIST(S)
Nita Byack George-Iruobe is a broad spectrum Social Development Specialist, Politian, and filmmaker/multimedia producer with an increasing sense of patriotism and love for Nation.
With a background in Sociology and Master’s in Society & Development, Nita’s experience span Global, Regional, National, and even local grassroot Development Policy design and implementation in the area’s of health, peace building & conflict prevention, entrepreneurial innovation, gender mainstreaming, women & youth empowerment, and inclusive governance). She is also popularly known for her roles in films, stage plays & voiceover role-play.
Nita is the founder and President of Geonita Initiative for Women and Child Development (IWACHD), the founder and convener of the Nigerian Youth Champions for Universal Health Coverage (NYC4UHC), and Member Representing Southern Kaduna Senatorial District at the Nigerian Youth Parliament.
With certified trainings in Project Management, Advocacy, Risk Communication, Mediation, Negotiation & ADR, Nita has represented Nigerian women & Youths at several Global, Regional and National policy platforms like the Global Financing Facility, the WHO Partners Forum, African Union and ECOWAS Peace & Security policy platforms, Networks and the National Peace & Security Forum by IPCR.
Nita is a recipient of the Award of Excellency from the African Center for Leadership Strategy & Development, The Coalition of Wives of African Presidents & Female Presidents COWAP Award for Girl Child Education and a few others.
She is passionate about the contribution of women & youths in Nation building and has dedicated her skills in development and media production to champion the Mind Restyling of Nigerian youths & women, through Behavior Change Communication for Development, to bring about a Bottom-Top approach to development as part of joining efforts with the Government to build a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria which empowers it’s people to play a pivotal, individualistic, yet collective role in moving every single citizen beyond poverty lines.
