AQOC Kiddies 1st Term Exam , 2025/2026
DAY 02
After ending the assessment with the most "Amazing Student" yesterday, with joy, I hopped into Faheemah's class to conduct her assessment.
Faheemah completed her studying of Nurul-Bayyan spelling textbook last term. And she started the Quran recitation fully this term and was able to steadily and confidently completed the recitation of 1 Juz'u (Nass to Nabai) upon which she was to be assessed.
During the assessment, her dad joined up the meeting to observe the performance of her beloved the daughter.
And this is actually how he used to do. All the parents of our kids at AQOC kiddies are very supportive - may Allah bless them all - but in the recent, among all, I would say I have not seen a FATHER that's been so intentional about the Islamiyyah progress of his kids, despite his busy schedules. In fact, I would give it to him first over their mother. Smiles 😊
He would join in almost every class either to give an emotional support to the kids (especially the younger, Muhammad) or even appreciate the tutor. And in situations he's unable to, he would call in after the class to ask after the performance of the kids in their class for the day. And anytime I gave a not so good review, he would apologize: "Ustadh,e ma binu. I know where the problem comes from. I actually wasn't able to revise the assignment with them yesterday. But we would work on that". And believe me, the following day, the kids would perform extraordinarily well in class. They've worked on it!
Such is very rare of fathers, considering how busy they used to be!
I once gave that feedback of his both internal and external support with us to Ummu Aisha (may Allah bless her), the parent that referred him to AQOC kiddies, she told me, he's NATURALLY like that. He CREATES availability for his families (kids) and sees through to their progress.
Maa sha Allah! He is really the kind of father I would also like to be when I grow up. Smiles 😊
Baarokalloh Feeh.
Guess who kept praying for me and AQOC by extension after watching his daughter confidently reading through the pages of the Qur'an during her assessment?
He simply couldn't just hold his happiness. He was simply astonished by the kids growth in their Qur'anic and Islamic education. A feat he never thought could be attained right from the comfort of the home that too in a core secular country they're. He couldn't believe her daughter who started learning Alif bá ta Tha right under his watch some months back is now confidently and independently able to read pages of the Qur'an like that!
He told me how he joyfully informed an elderly member of the family in Nigeria some days ago about the Islamiyyah growth of her grandchildren.
Despite not being requested, he happily and willingly promised to send me the "Walimah" token of appreciation on the completion of recitation of Juz'u Amma by his daughter. Smiles 😊
I kept on smiling with joy all through. Thanking Allah and also appreciating his consistent support despite being his busy schedules as a MAN.
Having qualified now, next term, bi Idhnillah, Faheemah would be adding Quran memorization to the subject she takes while we work further on her fluency of Qur'anic recitation. May Allah make it easy.
I ask Allah to continue to strengthen us. May He continue to bless all our kids, their parents and AQOC in general.
Aamin.
