NIGERIA WE HAIL THEE.
Nigeria we hail the
We never knew this was sacarsm
Our own dear native land
Yet we wonder like a wanderer on our father's land
Our mother's breast which we suck now brings us sour taste to our tongue
And we are being chastised from the fatal soil that brings us nuturing food.
Though tribe and tongue may differ
In brotherhood we were told to stand
This has now become an history
Cos the matters that matters to Matthias are the tribal, cultural and religious matters.
Nigeria we hail thee
As you keep solemnly quiet like a graveyard
And look so melancholy doing nothing towards the massacre
Of your offsprings across the foreword of your reach.
Nigerians all, are proud to serve
Our sovereign motherland
As one of your children becomes an enemy to his siblings
Killing them like chickens, kidnapping them for ransom
Those whom you put in position to take charge on your
behalf are carefree about the jeopardy that occurs
On a day to day activities claiming to us EMI LO KAN
And there you are folding your hands and looking like a moron
Our flag they say shall be a symbol
That truth and justice reign
But Alas, we have known no peace
And injustice has taken the flag from the just.
Lies and deciet has become the easiest good
to purchase the International market
As such, it is expensive to buy the truth for a penny
As such, battling and religious controversies get a big honour in our society.
And this we count as gain
To hand on to our children
A banner without stain
Tell me, who will help you to fight against this
Uncultured culture that is culturing its culture
into your cultural, cultured culture?
I swear, I hail you
For the great courage you have
Looking at your children dying in your hands
Without shaking a minute.
