THE SILENCE OF THE WARRI SOUTH LG CHAIRMAN & THE PEACE COMMITTEE

The tragic de*ath of Mr. Jerry Aduara, a dedicated member of the Peace Committee, has sent shockwaves throughout our community. As we mourn the loss of this innocent life, it is disheartening to note that, till date, the Warri South Local Government Chairman, Hon Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac, and the Peace Committee have neither issued an official statement nor made any arrests in connection with this heinous act.
As the chief security officer of the local government, it is the Chairman's responsibility to ensure the safety and well-being of all citizens. The lack of urgency and decisive action in this matter has raised serious concerns about the leadership's commitment to justice and community security.
Mr. Jerry's death serves as a painful reminder of the fragility of life and the need for effective leadership. As a member of the Peace Committee, he was dedicated to promoting peace and harmony in our community. His untimely demise is a stark contrast to the values he embodied.
The community demands transparency, accountability, and swift action to bring the perpetrators to justice. We urge the Chairman and the relevant authorities to take immediate and concrete steps to investigate this incident and ensure that those responsible are held accountable.
The loss of Mr. Jerry will forever leave a scar in our hearts. However, we hope that the leadership will take this opportunity to reflect on their responsibilities and take necessary actions to restore the trust of the community.
It's the turn of Mr Jerry today and tomorrow it can be anybody and the leadership will remain silent.
