Anyone who desires to be the Lord's disciple, must carry a cross.
It's an act of obedience and obedience is an act of love.

These are the ones Jesus is looking for,
Those who will carry their cross and follow Him.

Carrying a cross symbolizes death.
Dying to the flesh, denying yourself the deadly desires of the flesh which are the lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and the pride of life.

Apostle Paul said, "I die daily." He died to all these things.
He carried his cross daily to follow Christ.
We all must carry a cross, it is a cross of obedience.

If sickness is the will of God, then every physician would be a lawbreaker, every trained nurse a defier of the Almighty, and every hospital a house of rebellion instead of a house of mercy.” — T.L. Osborn

If sickness were truly God’s will… why would compassion fight so hard against it?

Why would God command love, compassion, and healing…

and then be offended when we relieve pain?
Throughout Scripture, Jesus did not place sickness on people to teach them lessons. He healed them. Everywhere He went, healing flowed — not affliction.

God is not threatened by medicine. He is glorified by mercy.

If fighting sickness were rebellion, then:

A doctor treating malaria would be resisting heaven.

A nurse stabilizing a patient would be opposing God.

Hospitals would be centers of disobedience.

But they are not. They are extensions of compassion. Medicine is not the enemy of faith. Neglect is not spirituality. And suffering is not automatically holiness.

But here is the truth:
Healing — whether through prayer, wisdom, or medicine — reflects God’s heart to restore.

The battlefield is not “faith vs medicine.”
It is “life vs destruction.”

And heaven is on the side of life.
