How Uche Ekwunife Became Mbadinuju's Mistress!

Around 2001, barely two years after Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju became the Governor of Anambra State, Uche Ekwunife whose hotel room expertise had elevated her to the position of a manager with Standard Trust Bank (now United Bank of Africa, UBA) in Awka, was in desperate search of Dr. Mbadinuju's contact. The then-Anambra Governor was the final piece in her satanic mission to lure men who had the means and power to her bed in exchange for favour. Of course, it's an open secret that the woman in question can go as low as asking for your hotel room number just to achieve her target. Coincidentally, it was a banking target, as is common with the job in Nigeria, that gave rise to her desperate search for the gold mine — Governor Mbadinuju.

Uche Ekwunife finally met the member representing Idemili North Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly at that time. It was the lawmaker who eventually connected her to Governor Mbadinuju. Uche Ekwunife's romance with the governor grew into menace. It became a business-like affair where funds meant for the development of Anambra State became service charges for sexual exploits. The once-average-level bank manager suddenly became a powerful and feared mistress who had taxpayers' money at her disposal.

Uche Ekwunife and Mbadinuju's infestation on Anambra's treasury led to disastrous industrial action by workers in Anambra State from February to November 2002. With her bedroom skills and fe**sh machinations, she got Governor Mbadinuju to move Anambra's official banking partnership to Standard Trust Bank. She also used the state's money to build Exchequers Hotel at 5 Nri Crescent Iyiagu Estate, Awka. The property, which housed the notorious Balumba Club, was thought to have been owned by Governor Mbadinuju. But it was actually Uche Ekwunife who owned the property and then used her man's name as a cover to avoid traces. The same address is where she lives in Awka until today. Verify!

The deep truth is that Uche Ekwunife is not a woman to be used as a figure of good example womanhood. When, during the dedication of her twin children, she asked the media to address her family as Mr. and Mrs. Uche Ekwunife, publicly disowning her husband’s name, it became very vivid that the paternity of those poor kids was in question. But it should: if a young woman, in a family of nine female children, has to give birth to two children out of wedlock just to bring in male offsprings, then certain questions must be really asked about common morality. Uche Ekwunife comes to mind. Forget it, Uche Ekwunife will NEVER agree to a paternity test for her children. There are truths not to be ever known!

UCHE EKWUNIFE HAS CROSSED THE RED LINE .....

1. Two days ago, I posted a terse remark in response to the barrage of fabricated inanities from Uche Ekwunife in her incoherent response to my husband’s legitimate questions about her questionable PhD and inadequate GCE result, noting that I would not condescend to her low level. I remarked that one should not exchange words with a madman because passersby may not know the difference. However, when the “madman” is determined to kill/destroy—as she boasted in her viral audio that she would fabricate outlandish lies to destroy my family, we are constrained to respond. Initially we shrugged off and laughed at her hilarious tantrums at my husband and I as the “usual Uche’s madness”, but now that her madness has crossed the red line by even dragging my innocent children into the arena and setting to destroy them, Ekwunife has left us with no choice.

2. This is a woman for whom I have cooked and fed, together with her children on several occasions they visited my house. For her to sit down and fabricate/spew all manner of invectives and criminal allegations against me and my children without any provocation from us shows someone who can even kill. Many people called and asked me to ignore Ekwunife because, according to them, she is like a mad dog which has no shame or character and can therefore say or do anything anywhere. I understand that it has been her rehearsed strategy with every man she had a political fight. I understand that her standard template is to maliciously go after their families—especially their wives. Everyone talks about how she tried to destroy the reputation of an innocent wife of a senator when she had a contest with him. Well, let me assure you Uche Ekwunife that you are in for a different season with a different woman. My weapons are decency, character, and grace. I am a long-distance runner, and I welcome you to the marathon.

3. In all my life, I have lived an incredibly quiet family life, shunning publicity. One of the reasons I hate politics is precisely the kind of shameless obscenities from Uche Ekwunife in the name of “politics.” My phone has been inundated with hundreds of calls and texts with “evidence” of what I could use against her. For now, I will still restrain from getting into the gutters with her and focus on the issues and facts. Before the gloves are off, I will still as a Christian give Uche a chance to repent and ensure restitution by recanting her wilful and malicious allegations within 72 hours and tendering an unreserved apology. Take note Uche that if you fail to do so, I will take every step necessary to ensure justice and restitution. My lawyers have also been put on notice.

4. For starters, let me repeat three verifiable facts. One, I have never worked for anyone in my life. I have been a professional and entrepreneur all my adult life—running my own companies in Nigeria and abroad. Even when my husband was governor of the central bank and now as the first lady of Anambra, I have never depended upon public funds. As first lady of Anambra, I do not have any budget from the government. Two, I never met Dr. Mbadinuju of blessed memory in my life. Three, in my 55 years on planet earth, I have known ONLY ONE MAN, Chukwuma Soludo. I married him as a virgin and my fidelity to him in 33 years of marriage and for life is ironclad. This may be difficult for an Uche Ekwunife to comprehend.

5. With the clarifications above, I make the following challenges to Uche Ekwunife:

(a) Oath of fidelity and chastity

Since Uche Ekwunife claims to be a converted Catholic, I challenge her for both of us to swear an oath of fidelity and chastity at any Cathedral in front of the Blessed Sacrament. You mentioned screenshotting someone’s name and putting in your Bible. So, you must know the efficacy of the Holy Book. We should also add the Bible with the Sacrament. I will swear (with my children) that in my 55 years on earth, I have known only one man—Chukwuma Soludo. On your part, you should also swear (with your children or your political ambitions) that since you got married, you have never cheated on your husband. Let us do this between now and mid October 2025.

(b) Paternity Tests

6. I challenge you, Uche Ekwunife, for us to subject our children to paternity tests. Science has made life easy and there are things you cannot lie about nowadays. To avoid any stories in Nigerian hospitals, let us do it in three reputable hospitals in London. You and your family are often in London. But I will pay the expenses. As a businesswoman, I will pay for you and your family’s travels as well as for the tests. If after the tests it is confirmed that your husband is the father of ALL your children, I will congratulate you with a cash award. I can confirm that my family is ready for this test any moment of your choice, preferably between now and end of October/November 2025. As a woman of conservative Catholic upbringing, I pride myself in my chastity. What about you? In the name of God, you must accept the above harmless challenges about your fidelity/chastity as a “distinguished” Senator.

7. I watched part of your hilarious emotional outburst and infantile invectives on my husband. Laughable indeed! You know and we know the source of your frustrations. But let me assure you that the globally celebrated professor is too clean, too decent, and too sophisticated to waste his time on low lives. Nwoke bu nwoke! Enough said for now.

SOLUDO- IBEZIM CAMPAIGN ORGANIZATION (SICO)

OUR CAMPAIGN WILL REMAIN FOCUSED ON ANAMBRA’S FUTURE

1. The 2025 Anambra’s governorship election is on the 8th of November, and various political parties/candidates are exercising their constitutional rights to campaign for the office. Frustrated by the general opinion polls that SOLUDO- IBEZIM ticket is the consensus of Ndi Anambra for the election, some candidates are beginning to show desperation with intent to distract or destroy. The recent tantrums and despicable obscenities by the Deputy Governorship candidate of the APC—Senator Uche Ekwunife is one example. Our response is that we will remain razor-focused on the issues about the future of Anambra, and no number of fabricated obscenities can distract us. We will not take the bait to get into the gutter with them. And we will not dignify them either!


2. However, part of the fundamental ISSUES for every election is the QUALIFICATION of the candidates to hold such office. The Constitution of Nigeria prescribes a minimum academic qualification for the office of governor of a state. For Anambra, a state known for excellence (home to some of the most educated leaders Nigeria has ever had--- Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Dr. Akwaeke Nwafor-Orizu, Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu, Prof. Chinua Achebe, Dr. Alex Ekwueme, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, Prof. Kenneth D**e, Dr. Chuba Okadigbo, Francis Cardinal Arinze, etc.), it is an important ISSUE in the choice of a governor. The past civilian governors since 1999 include: Dr. Mbadinuju (PhD); Dr. Nwabueze Ngige (MBBS, UNN—Medical Doctor); Mr. Peter Obi (B. Sc Philosophy, UNN); and Mr. Willie Obiano (B. Sc, MBA—UNILAG).




3. Our current governor, Chukwuma Soludo (B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph. D Economics, UNN) is a globally acclaimed Professor of Economics, consultant, and technocrat--- with hundreds of international awards for excellent public service including the Financial Times of London/Banker award as best governor of central bank in the world; the New African Magazine’s (London) recognition as one of the 100 most influential Africans, and even celebrated by his Alma Mater, UNN, at its 44th Founders’ Day as the University’s Most Distinguished alumnus. His Deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim is a Medical Doctor with accomplished public service. Together, both are leading a major social and economic transformation of Anambra State, and the evidence is clear. Our campaign is rooted in over 120 sterling achievements of the Soludo-Ibezim administration in barely three years without borrowing, and a robust plan for the next four years. With dozens of awards of excellence by newspapers, magazines, and institutions as well as endorsements by every stakeholder group in Anambra, Ndi Anambra are happy and clear about their choice. The last bye election was a mock for the governorship, and APGA scored 75% of the votes. November will be even more emphatic!



3. Who are the other candidates/parties and their qualifications for office? From the forms filled by each candidate and submitted to INEC, we can confirm that the ticket of APC—Nicholas Ukachukwu/Uche Ekwunife – has the worst qualification for office of governor in the history of Anambra State. Nicholas Ukachukwu submitted a GCE (purportedly taken in May/June 1986--- Is GCE taken in May/June or November/December?) Issue for another day! With shameful F9’s in English, Mathematics, Economics, etc., Ukachukwu’s certificate raises doubt about basic literacy and numeracy--- a fundamental requirement for effective governance. Anambra cannot have a governor whose ability to read and write or add and subtract numbers is in doubt. That is the ISSUE!


4. Mrs. Ekwunife, in her own form at INEC swore in that her qualifications are: GCE (December 1987—with only 4 subjects which are insufficient for university admission) and a PhD from one purported university in the US. Really? PhD with no undergraduate programme? We then sought to find out which university would award a straight PhD to a GCE holder (with only 4 subjects) and it turns out that the so-called university is not accredited in the U.S and not recognized by the NUC in Nigeria as a university. So, the undated PhD certificate claimed under oath by Ekwunife is a FAKE certificate from a Fake university! Once you discountenance the Fake PhD, her only qualification (as sworn under oath by her) is a GCE with 4 subjects. She has not responded to this fundamental fact but instead chose to divert attention with hilarious fabrications. Previously she got away with these fake robes, but you cannot deceive all the people all the time. Effectively, the APC ticket—gubernatorial candidate (Ukachukwu) and his Deputy (Ekwunife) have presented the worst/fake credentials for office of governor of Anambra in history. Anambra is moving forward, and never backwards!


5. Part of the ethical and moral rebirth that the Soludo-Ibezim administration is executing is to rid Anambra of Fake influences on our children/youths – influences that discourage hard work and enterprise and promote success by magical means. That is why we are pursuing fake native doctors (Okeite Dibia’s). Those who pay and obtain fake degrees and parade fake titles are also bad influences on our children/youths. It matters more for people seeking to lead the State. That is the ISSUE, and it remains a legitimate issue for the election.


6. Mrs. Ekwunife has, in an audio recording, admitted that she is already inside the mud and would fabricate and throw mud at our candidate and at everyone around him, including his family—for exposing her fake PhD and inadequate GCE. Very laughable is the ignoble attempt to smear the first lady of Anambra state, a woman celebrated as virtuous and a model of womanhood and motherhood. Uche Ekwunife has made a fatal mistake by taking on a woman of virtue and grace.


7. As a Campaign Organization, we are focused on the future of Anambra. We do not take the support of Ndi Anambra for granted. We are working hard to earn every vote based upon the value that we have created and will still create for the people. But the issue of who has the basic qualifications to govern Anambra will remain a legitimate issue in the campaign—both now and in the future! Anambra is far too sophisticated to be governed by semi-illiterates, and/or people of easy virtues.

Anambra's Pride: A Call To Keep Nonye Soludo Out Of Political Drama.

In a society that has become so degraded that anyone, regardless of status, can be deliberately smeared, I feel compelled to make the following categorical statements:

Anambra politicians have turned this year’s bye-elections and the upcoming governorship election into a comic circus.

Having clearly abandoned issue-based campaigns and descended into the gutters to hurl mud.

As Ndi Anambra, we have now come to terms with this.

After all, we can see development projects progressing in our communities.A testament that the bird we have in hand is worth more than a million in the bush.

Better still, the exchanges have remained verbal, with no one resorting to physical attacks.

Let the politicians do us a favour and please keep Mama Anambra out of this comic drama.

We have watched Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo conduct herself with finesse, elegance, and a humane demeanor, extending kindness, support, and fellowship to women and children, especially the poor and downtrodden.

Recently, through one of her several initiatives, a group of women has been shortlisted for training in male-dominated professions such as painting, carpentry, solar installation, and mechanic services, with plans to empower them upon certification.

She has been mentoring the entire state on healthy living, child nutrition, farming, and empowering our women through her pet projects.

Dear Politicians, You are free to continue your banter as we count down to the polls.

But, biko welu nu Nonye Soludo soolu anyi nso.

We are not interested in who started the banter or who intends to end it.

As Ndi Anambra, we are no longer looking for manifestos as we count down to Anambra’s celebration day on November 8, 2025.

Let the banter continue, but keep it respectful.

In Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo, Anambra, has the perfect embodiment of a classic Anambra woman in full splendour as our First Lady.

We insist that she be kept sacrosanct, above the crude banter of politics in our state.

This admonition is directed to politicians across all the political parties in the state.

Governor Soludo Expresses Condolences Over Onitsha Market Tragedy, Describes Anambra As A State Founded On Law And Order

Anambra State Governor Professor Chukwuma Soludo has extended his condolences to the family of Miss Chinwe Igwe, the victim of a tragic incident at the Onitsha Market earlier this week.

Governor Soludo met with representatives of Igwe’s family from Ikwo in Ebonyi State at the Onitsha North Local Government Headquarters.

During the meeting, Governor Soludo assured the family that a thorough investigation will be conducted to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident, emphasizing that any security personnel found to be at fault will face prosecution, adding that it is essential that operatives adhere to established protocols to prevent preventable tragedies because every life matters.

Furthermore, the Governor praised law enforcement agencies for their swift response to the situation, urging them to continue their efforts to maintain peace and order throughout the state.

In addition to addressing the family of the victim, Governor Soludo visited a private Hospital in Onitsha to offer his sympathies to one of the injured individuals, who is reportedly recovering well, extending same to two other injured victims who are hospitalized at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital in Nnewi.
