TOPIC: INVESTMENT – A KEY TO FINANCIAL FUTURE.

SCRIPTURE: There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up. PROVERBS 21:20.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: What you have today is meant to handle your tomorrow.

It has been established that the will of God for His children is for them to exist in financial abundance (Psalm 35:27).

But the truth is, many Christians are still struggling financially. It is important to know that there are scriptural or covenant wisdom for financial abundance.

Today, we shall be looking at one of them, which is decreasing your expenditure and increasing your investment.

For many people, it is their mentality about money that is their major financial problem. When money enters their hands, they look for what to buy. The purpose of money is not expenditure, but investment. Money does not come so you can look for what to buy with it; money comes so you can multiply it. And out of the profit that has multiplied, you can then take care of one or two things for yourself and keep on multiplying it.

You know the difference between Esau and Jacob? Esau was a hunter, but Jacob was a shepherd. And who is a hunter? A hunter pursues an animal, kills it, cooks it and eats it, and starts pursuing another one. He pursues the salary for thirty days, pursues the contract for two months, gets the money, finishes all the money, if not his eyes will not clear.
But Jacob, a shepherd would carry a male animal, get the female animal for it, breed and multiply them. When it is time to eat, he would pick one and eat, and keep on multiplying the rest. So, he had a future, but Esau did not have a future.

Where is Esau today? Nowhere! Jacob, Israel is still flourishing today. That is the difference between the poor and the rich.

Beloved, are you a hunter or a shepherd? What you have today is meant to handle your tomorrow (Genesis 41:34-36).

If you manage your resources well today, you cannot be stranded tomorrow.

REMEMBER THIS: What you have today is meant to handle your tomorrow.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Maintain a lifestyle of covenant practice. Honour God first with your resources.
2. Put aside a percentage of money as savings every time money enters your hands.
3. Invest and multiply your resources.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the wisdom and discipline for financial abundance. Prosper the works of my hands, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: AN IRREPLACEABLE LOSS

SCRIPTURE: Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
JOHN 15:16

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Every time a soul is lost to hell, it is an irreplaceable loss to God.

I read a story from a man of God, an American evangelist named Raymond A. Torrey. He was one of those ancient people who wrote very powerfully on prayer. He went to a restaurant to eat with some people in the USA.

The restaurant was like an à la carte restaurant where they had to prepare the food on order. While they were waiting for the meal, the Holy Ghost quickened in his heart several times to preach to a particular waiter. But you know the way many of us feel at times when we have the prompting to preach in a public place. So, he thought, "How can I just start preaching to someone in a restaurant?" Eventually, the food was served.

After about thirty to forty minutes, he was done eating, only to realize that a tragedy had happened in that restaurant. What happened? Someone had gone behind the kitchen of the restaurant and committed su***de. And guess who the person was? It was the same waiter that the Lord prompted Torrey to preach to. He was at the brink of death, having planned to commit su***de, God saw it, prompted Torrey, but he was hesitant. Torrey could never recover from that experience for life. He was the one who told the story himself.

Beloved, every human being carries a deposit of God. So, every time a soul is lost in hell, it is an irreplaceable loss to God. Please do not watch a sinner on his way to hell and leave him. Preach the Word of God to that sinner, but if you cannot preach, invite the person to church so he can hear the preaching. You may be the one to redirect that person from hell to heaven

TOPIC: GIVING – A PATHWAY TO THE BLESSING.

SCRIPTURE: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing. GENESIS 12:2.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Prayer for money is a waste of time where the lifestyle of giving is not in place.

Contemporary history reveals John D. Rockefeller as the first dollar billionaire in the USA, and indeed, in the world. He was a man who started by paying tithe of one dollar in response to the teachings of his mother. He started tithing from that day till the day of his death.

One day, he gave 140 million dollars to the University that his church was building, and people asked him, “How could you give such an amount of money to a church?” And he said, “God gave me the money in the first place, and I am giving it back to God. What is your business?” Today, The Rockefeller Foundation is spending millions in tackling sicknesses and diseases around the world.

While I was a student of Medicine, we had The Rockefeller Foundation supporting medical services in Nigeria, fighting river blindness, Vesicovaginal Fistula and other diseases. He had died long ago, but his money is still blessing this generation, and the money has not finished.

Beloved, if you want to break financial limitations and see the blessings of God in your life, determine to exist as a blessing to your generation (Genesis 12:2,3, Acts 20:35).

Be a blessing to the less privileged, widows, orphans, priests, missionaries, and the kingdom of God, etc. and you are going to break the back of the spirit of wretchedness.

Prayer for money is a waste of time where the lifestyle of giving is not in place (2 Corinthians 9:6,7).

Beloved, who are you blessing? Who is feeding from your table other than you and your family?

REMEMBER THIS: Prayer for money is a waste of time where the lifestyle of giving is not in place.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Be a blessing to someone today. Look around and meet the needs of someone; let it be your service on a consistent basis.
2. Embrace the covenant practice of tithing and giving on a consistent basis.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to consistently be a blessing to the needy, and to Your Kingdom, Lord. Launch me into the realm of abundance Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
