In a small village lived two brothers.
One spent his days asking questions, listening, and learning from everyone he met.
The other believed he already knew everything and mocked those who tried to teach him.
One day, a terrible storm came.
The wise brother closed his windows early and secured his roof.
The ignorant brother laughed, saying, “Storms always pass. I’ve seen worse.”
That night, the rain poured heavily.
The wise brother slept in peace.
The ignorant brother’s house flooded, ruining his belongings.
The next morning, the ignorant brother cried,
“Why didn’t anyone warn me?”
The wise brother replied calmly,
“They did, but ignorance is a closed window.
No matter how loud the warning, nothing enters unless it’s opened.”
Lesson:
Ignorance is not the absence of information, but the refusal to learn.
A closed mind suffers losses a listening ear avoids.
