MacIver to APC Stakeholders: Be Useful, Be Present, Work for President Tinubu 2027 and Be Welcoming

On Saturday, November 1, 2025, the All Progressives Congress (APC) held a crucial stakeholders meeting at the Bayelsa State Party Secretariat. The meeting brought together key leaders and members of the party to strategize on strengthening internal unity and preparing ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during the session, Great Joshua MacIver, the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate in the 2023 Bayelsa State election and Coordinator of Tantita Security Services (Bayelsa Operations), emphasized the importance of active participation by all stakeholders. He noted that being called a stakeholder goes beyond title, stressing that “a stakeholder who was not useful in the past cannot be useful in the future and may eventually be submerged.”

He further aligned himself with an earlier statement by the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, that the ultimate goal is to ensure the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. MacIver echoed this sentiment, adding that the party must remain open-minded and welcoming to defectors expected on Monday, November 3, 2025, as it would serve as an added advantage for the APC in Bayelsa State.

It was a celebration of love, family and friendship Sunday, October 26, 2025, as Mr. Joseph MacIver, Mrs. Sarah MacIver — wife of Great Joshua MacIver, the Tantita Boss — Mr. and Mrs. Sylvanus MacIver, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Godgift, and other members of the Izon-Tukpa family, graced the beautiful marriage ceremony of Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Abayoko Frank Umonwei.

The bride, Mrs. Nathaniel Abayoko (née Diepreye Matthew Fabo), is the elder sister of Mrs. Sarah MacIver, fondly known as Big Mommy.

The colourful event took place at Honni Hills Hotel, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, and was filled with joy, laughter, and the warmth of family and friends.
