If you don’t eat well, exercise, or go for checkups, small problems can grow into big ones. The same thing happens to buildings. If you don’t take care of them, they get weak, messy, and even dangerous.

So, why is building maintenance important?

1. It keeps you safe
Just like you wouldn’t walk on a broken leg, you shouldn’t live or work in a building with broken stairs, loose wires, or leaking roofs. Maintenance fixes these before they hurt someone.

2. It saves money
Small problems are cheap to fix. But if you wait, they become big problems and big problems cost a lot. It’s better to fix a drip than to replace the whole roof.

3. It keeps the place looking good
Nobody likes living in a cracked, dusty, or smelly building. Maintenance keeps everything clean, fresh, and welcoming.

4. It makes things last longer
Think of it like washing your clothes. If you never clean them, they wear out fast. A building is the same. Regular care helps it last for many years.

5. It protects your investment
You spent a lot to build or buy the place. Maintenance helps protect that money by keeping the building valuable.

6. It brings peace of mind
When everything works well water runs, lights shine, doors close you feel relaxed. No surprises. No stress.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sure the Igbo nation is as great and even more impactful than you have described them. If you want to know more about the greatness of Ndi'Igbo, you may wish to read any of the thirteen articles I have previously written, extolling their greatness.

However, when the Yoruba are praised, it is not at the expense of the Igbos or any other ethnic nationality. You do not have to feel triggered whenever others, especially the Yoruba, are praised.

When you feel pained because praises are rained on others, it is usually a sign of unaddressed trauma.

By the way, a lot of people need to understand what bigotry is. Bigotry is the unreasonable hatred towards people without any justifiable cause.

Praising a people who justifiably deserve to be honoured is not bigotry. Thinking that the commendation of a people who have done things worth commending is bigotry is actually the definition of bigotry. Because it is an unreasonable reaction to a reasonable action.

Finally, while I admire Nkem Owoh's performance in Osuofia in London, and the prowess of thespians like Aki and Paw-paw, please do note that the top ten highest-grossing Nollywood movies are ALL by Yoruba movie makers, including:
