A cheating husband wanted to find out if
his wife knew about his unfaithfulness to her, imagine nyaga dey sleep trouble go wake am up.

One night he asked her

“Darling, can a woman know if her
husband is cheating on her?”

She replied

“Yes of course”

Surprised and with his heart fast beating in a most uncomfortable way he asked

“But how will she know?”

“Well” said his wife “There are many ways....

If she keep finding hotel receipts in his
pocket each time she take his clothes to the laundry and lipstick mark on his shirt, if he keep coming home late nights” etc

He breathed a sigh of relief because none of this applied to him.

The following morning, he was ready to go to work but couldn't find his car key where he normally kept it,

“Honey, did you please see my car key?”

“Yes” replied his wife “Junior was playing with it so I kept it in the drawer” he went to the drawer, open it and found the car key but something else were there too, many hotel receipts, same hotel he normally take his women to, he couldn't believe it,

“My wife has found all these hotel receipts in my pockets, how on earth have I been careless with this receipts?

I can't believe she knew about my unfaithfulness to her yet kept quiet, my God I am done”.

Hurriedly and shamefully without saying 'Bye' to his wife he left the house.

At the office he couldn't concentrate on his work,

“I have been fooling around thinking my wife never knew about my relationships with other women”.

He decided to text his wife and apologize but just then his phone rang, his wife was calling, as he picked up the phone, the worst happened.

No One Came Looking… Until It Involved Money

In December 2003, Joyce Vincent passed away in her North London apartment, likely due to an asthma attack. Her TV stayed on. Her rent? Still paid automatically through bank transfers. Mail kept piling up at her door, but no one noticed.

Weeks passed. Then months. Still, no one asked where she was. The hallway stank, but people blamed the trash bins. Her TV kept playing, the noise lost in the chaos of kids and teenagers in the building.

Eventually, her bank account ran dry. That’s when the system woke up. Her landlord sent bills.
No reply. Over six months without rent, and a court finally issued an eviction notice.

In January 2006, more than two years later, bailiffs broke into the flat. They found her remains.
Joyce Vincent had been dead for over two years, and no one, not a friend, neighbor, or family member, had come to check.

I saw this story on the internet. Whether it’s completely true or one of those viral tales, the painful reality it reveals is this: many people are dying silently. Not just physically, but emotionally, mentally, spiritually. And the world? Often too busy to notice, until money gets involved.

But this? This can’t happen in Africa. In Africa, someone will knock on your door, even if it’s just to borrow Maggi or ask for salt. We even check on our enemies daily, just to keep the beef going strong.

We may not have everything in Africa, but we have community. We may not always agree, but we check on each other. So today, before someone’s silence becmes permanent…

Check on your friends. Check on your neighbors. Check on your people. Let no one around you disappear in plain sight.

Call those friends you haven’t spoken to in years today. Message those relatives you haven’t contacted in years today. Check on your loved ones this weekend."

No one should die in a society full of people and still be alone. Call your friends
