1. If a hug awakens your lust, it is not love; it’s a warning. Stop giving it.

2. If a hug is unnecessary, let it go. Not every greeting requires body contact.

3.If a hug confuses you, avoid it. Confusion is often the first sign of a crossed boundary.

4. If it can lead you or someone else into temptation, run. Wisdom knows when to flee, not when to explain.

5. If you cannot do it openly before your spouse, pastor, or your conscience, don’t do it privately.

6. If it becomes frequent, familiar, or emotionally loaded, draw the line. Repeated closeness creates attachment.

7. If a hug lasts more than a few seconds, it has lasted longer than needed. It is no longer innocent.

Boundaries are not old-fashioned; they are proof of maturity. Where self-control is absent, the flesh will always take over.
