****Terrible tragedy: Diogo Jota, 28, Liverpool striker, Portuguese national team, and his brother André, 25, died in a road accident last night, around 1:30 pm, in Spain, in the province of Zamora, at kilometer 65 along the A-52 road, near the municipality of Palaces of Sanabria. Diogo Jota, 28 years old, was traveling in a Lamborghini with his brother André, 25, a football player for Penafiel. According to witnesses who called 911, the car began to flip, crashing into a tree and burst into flames. The flames spread to the surrounding vegetation. Diogo and Andre died charred. Diogo Jota, 28 years old, had arrived to Liverpool in 2020 from Wolverhampton, transfer completed for €44.7 million. Since then, he has amassed 182 appearances for the Reds, scoring 65 goals and dictating 26 assists. Diogo has won three titles with the Reds: one Premier League (201-25), one FA Cup (2021-22) and one League Cup (2021-22). The Portuguese national team had a short break at Atlético Madrid. The Colchoneros bought it from Paços Ferreira in 2016 for 7 million euros. The striker scored in a friendly match that ended 2-0 against Crotone, but he didn’t debut officially. That same summer, he went on loan to Porto. He would later go to Wolverhampton, always on loan before leaving the club for good in 2018 for 14 million.
