Cristiano Ronaldo Recreated His Nations League Trophy Lift After Defeating Spain.

Cristiano Ronaldo once again recorded history by recreating his iconic Nations League trophy lift, celebrating Portugal’s dramatic victory over Spain. The UEFA Nations League final, held at Munich’s Allianz Arena, was a spectacle of skill, resilience, and passion as both teams fought fiercely. After a gripping 2–2 draw through regular and extra time, the championship was decided in a nerve-wracking penalty shootout, where Portugal triumphed 5–3.

The match unfolded with Spain initially taking the lead, thanks to goals from Martin Zubimendi and Mikel Oyarzabal. However, Portugal’s response was swift immediately. Nuno Mendes equalized with a determined effort, and then Ronaldo stunned the crowd with a breathtaking volley, leveling the score and marking his 138th international goal.

This pivotal moment underscored Ronaldo’s enduring influence and brilliance on the international stage. The tension peaked in the shootout, where Portugal’s goalkeeper Diogo Costa emerged as a hero, denying Álvaro Morata’s penalty attempt. Rúben Neves confidently converted the winning spot-kick, sealing Portugal’s second UEFA Nations League title.

Arsenal Finalized First Two Summer Transfers With Another One Getting Closer

Arsenal has wrapped up their first two transfers of the 2025 summer window, with a third high-profile signing close to being finalised, signalling a bold intent to push for the Premier League title after three straight second-place finishes..

According to reports deals for Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad and Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea are effectively done, with only formal announcements pending. These acquisitions, led by new sporting director Andrea Berta, are part of a larger rebuild aimed at delivering silverware.

Zubimendi, a 26-year-old Spanish midfielder, will arrive for £51 million after Arsenal triggered his release clause. Initially pursued under former sporting director Edu, the deal is now nearly complete, with his medical reportedly finished. Zubimendi is expected to step into the midfield role vacated by Jorginho’s move to Flamengo, providing composure and balance while allowing Martin Ødegaard to play further forward. His winning experience with Spain at the Euros and success with Sociedad has Arsenal fans labelling him a “game-changer.”

Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, 30, joins for a modest £5 million fee after a solid loan spell at Bournemouth.

Kepa is seen as the ideal backup to David Raya. Though his Chelsea tenure had its ups and downs, his experience and familiarity with Mikel Arteta’s pressing style make him a smart, budget-friendly addition. Supporters have praised the low-cost signing, noting that it leaves more room in the budget for additional targets.

Next in line is Benjamin Sesko, the 22-year-old striker from RB Leipzig. Arsenal are currently in “concrete talks” for the Slovenian forward, who scored 14 goals in the Bundesliga last season. Although his release clause is set at €80 million, a gentleman’s agreement may allow Arsenal to secure him for less. Seen as a long-term solution to Arsenal’s striker dilemma, Sesko is expected to join.
