I always tell people, that thank God for Okada riding in the lives of many youths on street in Nigeria, probably there will be more criminals than we presently have.

With a motorcycle like this, daily 2-3k is sure and daily ajọ/akawo(contribution) is sure.

It's not something you can do for long, because of stress, but it's a means to get somewhere.

Some of them are graduates without jobs living in communities with little job opportunities but with 3k daily, they can earn 90k monthly. Some earn far more, and pay for the motorcycles they collect on Installments.

Some are Artisans who couldn't get customers as tilers, bricklayers, plumbers, but with this okada, their wives and kids will eat. For some, they are Mechanics, vulcanizers, once they sit in shop for hours, and no money to take home, they use the motorcycle to carry people and earn.

Some are youths with no support to go to school or help to learn any skill, so they took to riding to support themselves.

Each time I meet them, I engage them in chats, and I can tell you some of them have beautiful dreams. They are using it to support their education, some are using it to buy equipment for skills they learnt but couldn't operate, some are saving to go into other business, and some are saving to expand the transport business fully.

If you can ride a bike as a guy in Nigeria and you are not concerned about what the society will say, as many take that as excuse, you will never be broke again.

Just be diligent, be hardworking, save and have plans, you will look back and smile.
