THE VISIBILITY TEST FOR SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS

Everyday I meet people like myself who run small businesses.

They keep saying they have no visibility.

What they mean is that customers are not seeing them online and buying from them.

Personally, I believes that any small business owner who is crying about visibility is not doing what you are supposed to do.

You are falling below expectation in your online duties and you are hoping that theAngel will carry your business on their head and come online to shout about it.

Apologies, the angels have a different assignment.

So, let's make a simple list of things a small business owner who wants visibility should be doing:

1. Post daily on your Whatsapp status so that those who know you will know what you do and buy or refer people to you

2. Post actively on social media using stories, education, entertainment and different methods. Not just posting come and buy without sharing anything else with us.
Sorry, we will not buy

Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn and everywhere that you can post.

3. Be listed on Google so that someone who searches can find you

4. Be listed on high traffic sites like Jiji and Jumia, especially if what you sell, fits into those platforms

5. Pay Facebook and run paid adverts on Facebook

6. Join and participate actively in online conversations and communities.

7. Do collaborations online like doing Instagram Live with someone or writing about each other

8. Create a brand for your business that people will remember and recognize

9. Pay Influencers, even if the micro-influencers, to talk and advertise your business

10. Have a website, he listed on business yellow pages and other such.

Can we list out more?

Instead of shouting that you need visibility, can you start doing these?

Your visibility is in your hands.

Do what you should.

If you write a post about hot gist, you will get many likes and comments.

If you write a post about a product or service that you are selling, you will get very few likes and comments.

This is perfectly fine.

Never be discouraged.

They are seeing it.

Keep talking and posting about what you are selling.

They are seeing it.

The more they see it, the more convinced the get about it.

The more they see it, the more they understand it.

The more they see it, the more they remember it.

Keep posting about it.

Never you think that 'your own don too much'.

People have grown past that thinking.

These days, people love and admire confident sellers.

Keep posting.

HOW TO EFFECTIVELY MARKET YOUR BUSINESS ON WHATSAPP.

Kemi just started her fashion business, and because she doesn't have enough money to market her products.

She settles for posting her products on her WhatsApp status, she does this daily hoping someone will buy her products soon.

But she only has 60 views on her status, of which these people consist of her family, friends, colleagues, church members, etc.

After about three weeks of constantly posting on her status, one of her church sisters placed an order for a product, she got so excited that she has finally made a sale.

She went on and on telling everyone and anyone who cares to listen that she's in the fashion business, after about two weeks she got two orders from a brother in church who wants to give his mom a birthday gift.

At this point Bunmi is frustrated, whining and nagging about not having customers.

Someone advised her to use WhatsApp TV, she gave in, she got some leads, but they weren't qualified leads for her business.

Bunmi doesn't have money for Facebook Ads, she badly wants to get results, she also doesn't understand how WhatsApp marketing works.

Most people are like Bunmi, they work like an elephant but they're eating like an ant.

They think WhatsApp is a haven of magical sales because of the testimonials they've heard about the app.

They push, but their efforts are always abortive.

So, if you're like Bunmi, here's how WhatsApp Marketing works.

Firstly, you generate leads from a good traffic source, it can be Facebook, Instagram, Google, YouTube, etc.

You funnel this leads to your WhatsApp, the essence of this is to build a list or a community that buys from you repeatedly and not just a one off sale.

Do you know why?

You can't build a sustainable business by one off sales, you build one by having consistent and recurring sales from your community or list.

When you've gotten these leads, save their contact and also get them to save yours in exchange for a gift. Then sell to them, if they don't buy immediately use the VRL FRAMEWORK.

These results can be testimonials, reviews, and feedback you get from satisfied customers. This would make them comfortable to buy from you.

Marketing is humane, it's not robotic. Posting about your lifestyle, places you go, events you attend, people you're hanging out with, etc.

This makes them more connected to you.

Note: don't be caught posting only your products, it is really boring seeing only your products on your status.

Add this framework to your sales process and see the massive results you'll get.
