Children often thought the Ultimate Warrior had some mystical powers

James Brian Hellwig, born June 16, 1959, was an American professional wrestler, bodybuilder and motivational speaker. Best known by his ring name The Ultimate Warrior, he wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) from 1987 to 1992, as well as a short stint in 1996. He also notably spent a few months in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) in 1998, in which he was known as The Warrior.

In 1987, he joined the World Wrestling Federation, and became a two-time WWF Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion within two years. In the main event of WrestleMania VI, in 1990, Warrior won the WWF Championship in a title vs. title match over Hulk Hogan, making him the first wrestler to hold both titles concurrently. Posited as the new face of the company, he had a falling out with chairman Vince McMahon over a pay dispute, and unsuccessfully attempted to leave the WWF, with which he was under contract.

In 1993, he legally changed his name to "Warrior".

He passed away on April 8, 2014, at the age of 54 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

I’ve never seen someone like Cristiano Ronaldo casually eating in people’s houses back in Portugal. As someone of your stature, you should treat your body like your business, because it is.

Please stop eating outside your team’s approved meals. It's entirely possible to visit people without accepting food. This country has weak regulatory systems, and you can't take unnecessary risks.

I don’t want to hear anything about a positive test result for banned substances. Look at what happened to Pogba, let that be a cautionary tale. Your meals should be managed strictly by your professional nutrition team. If you need black soup, they should cook it, at every time and any place you're visiting.

BABA IJESHA: HIS FUTURE IN NOLLYWOOD

Baba Ijesha whose real name is Olanrewaju James Omiyinka was once a beloved figure in the Yoruba Nollywood industry. Known for his comic roles and unique way of blending street humour with deep messages, he was one of the few actors who could make you laugh and still drive home a strong point.

But everything changed in 2021 when a disturbing case surfaced. Baba Ijesha was arrested and later convicted for sexual assault involving a minor. A case that shocked not just fans, but the entire Nollywood community.

After a lengthy legal battle and public uproar, he was sentenced to 16 years in prison in 2022. However, based on reports, he is expected to serve only 5 years effectively due to concurrent sentencing (when multiple jail terms run at the same time). That means as of 2025, he may have about 2 to 3 years left behind bars.

Will Baba Ijesha Return to Nollywood?

This is the big question everyone is asking - Can he come back?

Let’s be honest: Nollywood is a forgiving industry, but the nature of his offence and the public shame surrounding it make it very hard. While some fans might still watch his old works for nostalgia, many Yoruba filmmakers may not want to associate their brand with his name anymore, especially those who focus on family-friendly content.

However, Nollywood has surprised us before. Some actors who had controversies still found their way back, not because people forgot, but because some audiences always want to see familiar faces. But Baba Ijesha’s case is more delicate, it’s not just a mistake, it’s a stain that may follow him for life.

Baba Ijesha was once a big name in Yoruba films. His talent is not in doubt, but his actions have created a gap between him and the industry.

Every fall became a chance to prove I was stronger than yesterday.

When I finally started acting, everyone said I was just a cheap Bruce Lee knockoff. They mocked me for being short, for my funny face, for mixing comedy with martial arts. But that was me. That was Jackie Chan.

I worked as a stuntman for almost nothing, risking my life while others took home the awards. Hollywood slammed the door in my face more than ten times… but I kept smiling. Because every time I fell, I’d get up with a somersault!

The Sleeping Saudi Arabian Prince, Al-Waleed Bin Khaled who is worth over $18-billion and has been in Coma since 2005 finally moves his hand and fingers for the first time in 20-years.

The prince had a brūtal car accident in 2005 leading to a severe brain înjury and has been in a Coma since then. He turned 36-years old on April 18th this year, 2025.
The doctors had proposed that he should be taken off life support but his family vehemently refused and held onto hope for his recovery emphasizing that money isn't the problem and after 20-years of no movement, his fingers finally moved.

When the family received news that he might be recovering soon, they added $1-billion to his bank account skyrocketing his networth from $18-billion to $19-billion so when he recovers, he should have enough money to never go br0ke again 😱

LATE ACTOR ALADE AROMIRE...NOLLYWOOD PATH CARVER ..

Before Nollywood became a global brand, there were pioneers who carved paths through celluloid and cassette tapes—one of them was Alade Aromire, a bold, prolific actor, producer and storyteller who helped lay the foundation for the Yoruba film industry.

Born in the early 1960s, Alade was not just a performer—he was a one-man industry. He produced over 100 Yoruba films, including classics like Owo Ife, Agbara Osugbo and Omolasan. He was among the first to explore video film production in Nigeria at a time when cinema houses were collapsing and the industry needed a lifeline.

Alade didn’t just tell stories—he built a film empire. He established a television station, penned scripts, promoted traditional values, and helped launch the careers of many Yoruba actors. He was passionate about culture, heritage and using film as a mirror to society.

But on 4th July 2008, tragedy struck. Alade Aromire died in a car crash in Lagos, reportedly while rushing to an appointment. The news stunned the industry—Nigeria had lost not just an actor, but a cultural warrior who lived and died for the art.

His legacy lives on in the dozens of films he left behind and in the vibrant Yoruba cinema space he helped create—one tape, one scene, one story at a time.
