Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State has this morning threatened to sack all the Kaduna Lecturers if they continue to observe the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Strike.

In his words “This is because Nigeria’s law says ‘no work, no pay’ If this continues, I will wake up one day to sack them all. I swear to God, we will sack them all and declare their positions vacant on the pages of newspapers." - reported by My Campus Gists

: Two Years Not Too Much To Sacrifice - ASUU President Tells Students

National President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke has asked Nigerian students to be patient with the union in its current struggles, adding that two years is not too much to sacrifice.

In an interview with BBC Pidgin amidst the NLC protests, Osodeke was quoted as saying "We beg Nigerian students to be patient with us, Two years is not too much to sacrifice."

The statement suggests for more patience from university students even if the strike lasts two years.
