WHEN YOU BECOME TOO FAMILIAR WITH YOUR SPOUSE...
1. You see no need to use courteous words such as "Thank you", "Please", "Sorry" to your spouse
2. You will use the excuse of "We are married not dating", or "We've known each other long", or "I don't have time" to justify why you no longer do special things for and with your spouse
3. You will look for excuses not to do things with your spouse. You would rather leave your spouse and be with other people
4. You don't feel the pain when your spouse is hurting like you used to. The cries and needs of your spouse don't move you anymore
5. You see no need to appreciate your spouse; after all, he/she is doing what they are meant to do as a husband/wife
6. You listen more to the opinions of others than your spouse's
7. You can see missed calls and text messages from your spouse and not respond, and feel nothing
8. Other people see your spouse's good attributes and celebrate your spouse; but you see your spouse just as an ordinary, casual person; nothing special
9. You don't bother to explain yourself or be accountable to your spouse
10. Your marriage is going through issues but you don't bother to address them. You know your spouse is going no where since you two are legally married, or you have children or too much is at stake
11. You don't bother to correct the areas your spouse is asking you to change
12. You work on impressing other people, not your spouse
13. You can choose not to come back home and not bother to inform your spouse of your whereabouts
14. You can't even give your spouse eye contact to show respect and that you are paying attention
15. S*x is no longer a celebration of your love but a rushed activity to give you an or**sm when you are h***y. You are using your spouse's body to give you pleasure
Honour and respect your spouse. Don't become too familiar
