Many people are using the war between Iran and Israel as social media content just to gain likes, comments, followers, and monetization. Yet, many of them don’t even know the true cause of this war.
Here’s a brief historical background to help understand the origin of the conflict:
In 1945, during World War II, the United States used nuclear weapons to destroy parts of Japan a horrific act of mass destruction.
In 1968, the United Nations introduced the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons.
In 1996, the UN established the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) to ban all nuclear weapon tests.
In 2017, the UN officially prohibited the possession and use of nuclear weapons through the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW).
From that point on, nations were encouraged to dismantle their nuclear arsenals.
Some countries fully destroyed their nuclear weapons.
Others only dismantled a portion and secretly kept the rest for future security reasons.
Here are the countries known to possess nuclear weapons:
1. Russia 🇷🇺 – 4,309 warheads
2. United States 🇺🇸 – 3,700 warheads
3. China 🇨🇳 – 600 warheads
4. France 🇫🇷 – 290 warheads
5. United Kingdom 🏴 – 225 warheads
6. India 🇮🇳 – 180 warheads
7. Pakistan 🇵🇰 – 170 warheads
8. Israel 🇮🇱 – 90 warheads
9. North Korea 🇰🇵 – 50 warheads
After these treaties, Iran 🇮🇷 saw the power and global influence that came with possessing nuclear weapons how nuclear-armed nations are feared and respected.
So, Iran continued developing its nuclear capabilities and other dangerous weapons like ballistic missiles capable of reaching other countries.
In response, the United States began targeting and eliminating Iran’s top nuclear scientists anyone connected to or knowledgeable in Iran’s nuclear program was systematically killed by U.S. operations.
Additionally, it's important to understand the religious and historical context:
Many of the prophets of God lived in the Middle East, particularly in:
Iraq 🇮🇶
Syria 🇸🇾
Jordan 🇯🇴
Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦
Lebanon 🇱🇧
Israel 🇮🇱
Egypt 🇪🇬
Palestine 🇵🇸
The Jews believe they are descendants of the prophets, and that these lands are their inherited homeland.
Since the time of Prophet Moses, when God scattered them across the earth, the Jews have yearned to reestablish their ancient kingdom, known as "Greater Israel."
Every conflict, war, and bloodshed in the Middle East is, in part, to pave the way for this dream of recreating Greater Israel 🇮🇱.
However, according to divine promises, God has decreed that the Jews will never be able to fully reestablish a lasting kingdom. That’s why, historically, every 100 years or so, their attempts to rise are eventually dismantled.
In conclusion, here’s what you need to understand:
1. Israel wants to reestablish the Jewish empire ("Greater Israel").
2. Iran is determined to stop the formation of Greater Israel.
3. Israel is attacking Iran to destroy its nuclear program.
4. The United States supports this conflict as a way to achieve its long-standing goal of eliminating Iran’s nuclear weapons.
As long as Iran retains dangerous weapons, the establishment of Greater Israel will remain impossible, and Iran will continue to be a major threat to other nations.
