Ese Kabiyesi fun Oba Aseyin ooooo
REMEMBRANCE: OBA DR. ABDULGANIY ADEKUNLE SALAU (OLOGUNEBI AJINESE I)
3 Years of Eternal Transition – A Royal Father Never Forgotten (Commissioner of FAWI, April 26th, 2019)
Three years may have passed since the glorious transition of our beloved monarch, Oba Dr. Abdulganiy Adekunle Salau, the Ologunebi Ajinese I, but the echoes of his wisdom, leadership, and fatherly presence continue to reverberate through the heart of Iseyinland and beyond.
As the Aseyin of Iseyin, Kabiyesi was more than a traditional ruler — he was a symbol of peace, a promoter of progress, and a father to all. His reign was marked by his deep commitment to education, youth empowerment, infrastructural development, and unity. His leadership style was a rare blend of royal dignity and accessible humility.
For me personally, and for the entire team of the Folorunsho Adisa Welfare Initiative (FAWI), Kabiyesi's memory remains eternally etched in our hearts. It was His Royal Majesty who graciously commissioned FAWI in Iseyin on April 26th, 2019. That day was not just a ceremonial one — it was a moment of divine alignment. Kabiyesi not only honored us with his royal presence, but he also blessed the vision behind FAWI with his words, prayers, and fatherly support.
Kabiyesi believed in community service. He encouraged our mission to empower women, youth, and widows across Oyo State. His unwavering support gave us the strength to do more, even when the road was tough. His words to me that day, “Continue to do good for your people, and Iseyin will always stand with you” remains a beacon of encouragement in our journey.
As we remember Oba Dr. Abdulganiy Adekunle Salau today, we celebrate his legacy. We pray for the repose of his noble soul and we commit ourselves anew to the values he stood for: unity, progress, compassion, and development.
Kabiyesi, you may have joined the ancestors, but your light still guides us. Iseyin misses you. FAWI remembers you. I will always honor your memory.
