Let me say something that may sound controversial…

Some people are waiting until they have ₦500k or ₦1 million before starting a business.

Meanwhile, there are people quietly making money every single day from businesses that started with just ₦20,000.

The real question is not capital. The real question is “Do you know what actually sells daily?”

Here are 5 businesses you can start with about ₦20k:

1. Mini perfume oil business
2. Akara & pap morning sales
3. Liquid soap production & sales
4. Popcorn business
5.Sachet cold water reselling

Now let’s settle this honestly.

If I drop ₦20,000 in your account today, which one will you start immediately?

A Perfume oil
B Akara & pap
C Liquid soap
D Popcorn
E Sachet water

But here is the real debate…

Some people say Akara & pap &bread makes the fastest daily cash, Others believe perfume oil brings bigger profit.

Which one do you agree with?

Drop your answer and tell us WHY.

Let’s see who really understands business.

School is not the only path to money.”

Let’s be honest.
Some graduates are still job hunting after 6 years…
Meanwhile someone who learned barbing, catering, POS business, phone repair, or fashion design is already feeding a family.

School is good. Education matters.
But skills are what pay bills quickly.

If the goal is fast learning and quick income, focus on skills people need every day.

These five are simple to learn and can start bringing money within weeks if you stay consistent.
1. Phone repair
Smartphones are everywhere and they spoil often—screens, charging ports, batteries. Learning basic repairs can start paying fast because demand never stops. Many technicians learned it in a few months and now fix 5–10 phones daily.

2. Barbing (haircutting)
Men cut hair every week. Once you learn clean fades and simple styles, people keep coming back. Even a small roadside setup can bring steady daily cash.

3. Laundry & dry cleaning service
Busy workers don’t have time to wash clothes. Start by washing, ironing, and delivering for people around your area. With just a pressing iron, detergent, and consistency, customers grow quickly.

4. Social media management
Many small businesses don’t know how to run their pages. If you learn how to create simple posts, reply to messages, and grow engagement, you can manage several pages and earn monthly fees.

5. Small food business (akara, shawarma, or snacks)
Food sells every single day. Something simple like akara and pap in the morning or evening snacks can start bringing cash almost immediately if the location is good.

If you had to start again today,
would you choose school or learn a skill first? Let me know in the 👇

Let’s be real for a moment.
Some people keep saying, “I can’t start a food business because I don’t have capital.”
But every morning we see people selling akara and pap by the roadside, and they sell out before 9am.
Some others start with small plates of jollof rice or moi moi and gradually grow their business.

So maybe the real issue is not capital… maybe it is where to start.

Let’s talk honestly in the comments

If you had just ₦2,000–₦3,000 today and you wanted to start selling food immediately, what would you cook first?

05/03/2026

Somebody asked this question On one of the posts I made about business you can start with little or no capital"

She said: Like me now am selling food.but no money to support the business"

MY RESPONSE
I understand how you feel. Many food businesses actually started that same way small and with little or no capital. Don’t wait until you have plenty money before you grow.

Start with the little you have. Cook small quantities, focus on one or two meals people like most, and sell to people around you first neighbours, workers, or offices. As the profit comes, put it back into the business little by little.
If you stay consistent and keep the food quality high, emphasis on "FOOD QUALITY "customers will come. Small beginnings can still lead to a strong business

Many successful food vendors started with very little money. The key is to start small and stay consistent.

Let me ask you and others here:
If you had just a little money to start a food business, which meal would you begin with that people around you buy the most?

Let’s share ideas. Someone here might learn something that changes their business.

Serious question: how many times have you written something powerful for free?
Captions.
Birthday messages.
Church write-ups.
Long WhatsApp advice.
But you’ve never charged for it.

Meanwhile, businesses are paying people to write:
• Instagram captions
• Sales copies
• Event scripts
• Sermon outlines
• Property descriptions
And some of those writers started with just their phone.
No shop.
No rent.
No equipment.
Just skill.

Let’s be real, if you can communicate clearly, you can monetize it.
Startup cost? Almost zero.
Profit? ₦5k – ₦20k per script depending on the client.
Two clients per week can change your monthly income.
But here’s the part nobody tells you:
You must deliver on time.
You must handle corrections without attitude.
You must write what the client wants, not what flatters your ego.
Skill is common. Professionalism is rare.
If I asked you to write a 60-second sales script today, could you confidently do it?
Be honest, is writing a skill you’ve been underestimating?
Drop YES if you know you can write.
Drop NO if you need to learn.
Let’s see something.

Be honest are you really broke because there’s no opportunity… or because you’re waiting for perfect conditions?

Let’s stop pretending.
Some people don’t lack money.
They lack movement.

You say you want to start a business.
But you’re waiting for:
• Perfect capital
• Perfect timing
• Perfect confidence

Meanwhile, people are making money from services you think are “too small.”
Home cleaning.
Mini importation.
Writing.
Mobile car wash and so on

Not glamorous.But profitable.

The truth is many people are not stuck because business is impossible.
They’re stuck because their ego is bigger than their current reality.

You don’t start big.
You start smart.

If I gave you ₦50k today and told you to start something immediately, what would you do with it?
Comment your answer. Let’s talk. 👇

If someone offered you ₦25,000 to clean a 2-bedroom apartment this weekend… would you take it?”

We ignore simple opportunities because they don’t look glamorous.

But here’s the truth: cleaning homes is a REAL business in Nigeria and people are paying serious money for it.

Think about it, busy professionals, families, short-let apartments, everyone needs clean spaces, but not everyone has the time. That’s where YOU come in.

Startup Cost Less than ₦50,000 is all you need for a beginner, items needed are mop, bucket, brush, detergents, disinfectants. That’s it.

Profit Potential: Charge ₦15k–₦50k per job depending on your location

Just 3 jobs a week? Roughly ₦300k monthly revenue. And that’s starting solo.
But let’s be honest this isn’t lazy money. It’s physical work. You must be reliable, disciplined, and trustworthy. Your reputation is everything.

How to Start:
Offer your service to friends, family, church members, or estate groups,Don't be shy,Cos shyness won't pay your bills.

Do 2–3 jobs at a small discount to get testimonials, this is a very important part of your growth.

Post before-and-after photos consistently on WhatsApp, Instagram, or Facebook.
If you do this properly, people will start contacting YOU for cleaning not the other way around.

“Would you take this opportunity seriously if you had ₦50k today? Comment YES or NO
Let’s see who’s ready to start this month!”
