I want to be next Victor Osimhen – ABS FC Youngster

Newly signed striker of Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin FC, Malik Surajudeen, says he wants to be the next Victor Osimhen to come out of Nigeria.

The 17-year-old 1.82 meter tall attacker, who joined ABS Ilorin FC from La Planet Sport Academica, revealed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Ilorin.

Surajudeen told NAN that he has devoted a lot of time trying to watch and learn from Osimhen, who is arguably the best African player in the ongoing 2022/2023 season.

“I want to be the next Victor Osimhen, I love everything about him and his playing style.
“He is strong, fast, creative and score lot of goals. I have also read that he took him some time to burst into the global stage, so I’m ready to take my time too.

“Even though I have never met him, I see him already as a role model that I want to follow his footsteps.

“I want to be committed to my club (ABS), the way Osimhen is committed to his club and country,” Surajudeen said.

He said even though he like watching the duo of Cristiano Ronaldo and Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, Osimhen remain his idol.
The striker said after his move to ABS, he is now focused on helping the Ilorin based Nigeria National League (NNL) side to gain promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

“It is tough here at ABS because we have a lot of young talented players, so, if you don’t work very hard, you may not be playing regularly.
“So, I’m aware that I need lots of discipline and hard work to achieve my goals. It is a new system completely at ABS and I’m looking forward to doing well for the team.

NAN recalls that 24-year-old Osimhen has been in spectacular form in the ongoing season scoring 21 times in 23 matches and assisted four times only in the serie A.
Osimhen’s current form is on the brink of landing Napoli its first Serie A title since 1990, when it last won it. (NAN)

Ibadan popular vendor, Adeshina Olayinka popularly known as khadi is dead. she was found dead in a wetland hotel in akobo Oyo state.

According to the news, Adeshina Olayinka tells her friend that she want to go and meet with someone in wetland hotel in Akobo on wednesday night, on thursday the man want to log out of hotel early morning and when he got to reception, the receptionist had to put call to Olayinka to confirm her safety and she pick up the call and give permission that they should allow the man, that she is just resting and no cause for alarm, soon she will log out too. Later, one of the receptionist who borrow Olayinka power bank went to the room for her power bank and knock the door but no one respond then the hotel manager come with extra card to open the door and they saw her dead.
According to source, it seem she is been used for ritual.

Femi Fani Kayode To Peter Obi: Just Leave The Country Right Away, And Don't Bother Returning Back

Peter Gregory Obi, a candidate for the Labour Party's presidency, has been advised by former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode, a spokesperson for the Tinubu-Shettima presidential campaign committee, to leave Nigeria and never bother to return.

It will be noted that in a recent post, the former governor Anambra state indicated unequivocally that, he was being pressured to leave the nation by some forces in the opposition party.

Peter Obi made the claim, while attempting to refute a claimed audio recording of a conversation between him, and Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder and senior pastor of the Living Faith Church.

Kwankwaso Promise To Recruit 750,000 Youths To Fight Bandits, Boko Haram , Others

The New Nigeria Peoples Party presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has, among many other promises, vowed to strengthen the military capacity by recruiting 750,000 youths to fight bandits, Boko Haram and other criminal elements across the country if elected..

Mr Kwankwaso, on Tuesday in Abuja, while presenting his 160-page campaign manifesto, ‘My Pledges to You.

The RMK2023 blueprint’, pledged to add 750,000 personnel to the armed forces and that he would build a one million-strong police force to solve widespread crimes.

“The crises of unemployment are so alarming, and there appears to be no effort being made to create opportunities for the teaming unemployed youth resulting in despondency, hopelessness and the rise of crime,” the former Kano governor explained.

Mr Kwankwaso added,

“Our administration, if elected, will tackle both insecurity and unemployment by making addition of manpower to the security agencies with the plans to recruit 750,000 able-bodied men and women, mostly youths, and build the Nigerian Police Force up to 1 million-man institution.”

: 17 Anambra Monarchs Dump Peter Obi To Back Atiku

A group of monarchs in Anambra State have reportedly declared their interest in supporting the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

Truth News reports that Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was a two-term Governor in Anambra State.

The said traditional rulers, all from the Idemili North and South local government areas of Anambra, however, shunned their former state governor to support the candidate of the PDP.

Stating their reason for backing Atiku, the monarchs said the Wazirin Adamawa and his running mate, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, are getting their full support because of their support received from a chieftain of the PDP in Anambra, Prof Obiora Okonkwo.

Truth News understands that the traditional rulers present were from the 17 communities that make up Idemili North and South.

Recall that Okonkwo was named the director of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council in the state a few days ago.

In his remark at a meeting held in Ogidi, the headquarters of the Idemili North Local Government Area on Saturday, the Chairman, of Idemili North and South Traditional Rulers Council, Igwe C. C. Agbala, said the support for the PDP was in the interest of the Igbo.

Agbala said, “We can no longer continue in opposition as a region; we have endured enough and must get our region back to national politics. You have our unalloyed support and blessings. With you, we are comfortable supporting (an) Atiku Abubakar’s presidency, knowing that you have a record of always standing in the line of progress, development, and stability.”

While addressing the monarchs, Okonkwo assured them that Atiku would restructure Nigeria if elected President in 2023.

Victor Olojede, Seyi Makinde Aide: A Criminal Disturbing Peace Amidst Youth and Students in Oyo State.

When things are in order, we have the expected result leading to peace we all anticipated for in our dear society. Society become a violent free, benefit its citizen, promote the individual integrity and showcase the democracy practiced only if there is transparency in the governing bodies. The Oyo state we pray and hope for as a case study.
I should have kept mute and be observing how traitors, and some of those we called leaders are gambling with the future of this society. but for posterity sake, and as a concerned and true son of soil whose present and futures of this state is his major priority, and also a learned and experienced youth who is fully devoted and competent to participate in Fossu students union election held on 7th of may 2022 and headed by OKENGBENRO KABIR the FOSSU Electoral Chairman.
To God be the glory, it was a free and fair election as students choose their preferred candidate with their votes. Whereby OYELEKE OLALEKAN ALABI [Lekmass] has [12 ] votes, ADEDOTUN QUADRI FASHOLA has[ 8] votes’ and IBROHIM ALARAPE has [0] votes.
Like it was before now, The winner OYELEKE OLALEKAN ALABI [lekmass] was sworn in and inaugurated by the FOSSU chief justice in person of OLAMIDE on 7th of June 2022. Which marked the new history of our unionism.
It is unbelievable that, in this society with constant law and practiced tradition, the newly elected President, MR OYELEKE OLALEKAN Lekmass, the student choice was denied of his right by Mr VICTOR OLOJEDE, the special adviser to the governor on student affairs who authoritatively imposed IBROHIM ALARAPE without a single vote a FOSSU national president. What a barbarous and selfishness leader representing the interest of the innocent students.
As a matter of fact, and being the path I have chosen to be unveiling the truth, I did a thorough investigation all to know who is MR VICTOR OLOJEDE the S.A to governor SEYI MAKINDE on student affairs with his imposed executives on students affairs, his aims and the outcomes of his action? Then I come to know that he was nothing but a disaster to this society.
VICTOR OLEJEDE is a snake in the grass pretending to be in the dark organizing and sponsoring some set of illegal students for all forms of evil doing without considering the society we all claimed to develop.
With due respect and high sense of humility, we here by urge his Excellency, governor SEYI MAKINDE to please come to student aides to free students from the custody of this callous leader called VICTOR OLOJEDE.

Tinubu On Exercise Bike To Prove Fitness

Singer Paul Okoye Questions Ladies Frolicking With Suspected Kidnapper

One half of the PSquare musical group, Paul Okoye, has reacted to the arrest of a suspected kidnapper, John Iyon.

Videos of the suspect flaunting his luxurious lifestyle have been going viral on social media.

Reacting on his InstaStory on Sunday, Okoye wondered if any of the ladies that the suspect spent money on asked about his source of income or they were merely interested in enjoying the man's money.

He said, “A big boy was caught after discovering he was a kidnapper. But I wan ask oh, after seeing him with different ladies flaunting money, so none of these ladies ever asked him that question? They don't want to know, just bring make dem chop.”

Iyon was arrested in Abuja.

WhatsApp Is Full Of 'Billing', Asisat Oshoala Laments

Nigerian footballer, Asisat Oshoala, has lamented about the rate at which people beg on messaging app, WhatsApp.

She even suggested that the app should be renamed 'Billing' App.

She said this on her Twitter handle on Friday.

Oshoala said that people mostly use the app to beg for money saying in Pidgin English, "You see that WhatsApp ehn, them suppose don rename as Billing app, cus you see that green App ehn, na billing full am. Who curse that app ‘edakun’? “

'Billing' is a slang for begging for money.

'Tinubu will get 90 percent votes in Southwest'

A former Ondo Speaker Hon Victor 0labimtan has declared that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu would win 90 percent of the votes in the Southwest in 2023.

Olabimtan, who is the Chairman, Bola Ahmed Tinubu Solidarity Vanguard, said the feat would be achieved if all support groups do the work conscientiously.

Olabimtan, who spoke while addressing members of the support group in Akure, explained that BATS Vanguard was not competing with any support group but working in synergy to actualise Tinubu's presidency.

He said Nigerians knew Tinubu would turn the fortunes of the country around for good.

His words: "We need a President like him. A man who will put his feet down and ensure things work. Nigeria, under Tinubu, will work

" I am particular about the Southwest. Bola Ahmed Tinubu is our Son, we must do all that is possible to ensure he wins. We must all move out to mobilise support for him. Where we need to convince, let us do so. Where we need to pacify, let us do so. How we do this work will determine the future of Yoruba land. If the work is done passionately and conscientiously, i don't expect Tinubu to have less than 90% of the total votes cast.''
