Casemiro is the definition of clutch. 👏

The Brazilian won the penalty in the 114th minute, assisted the equaliser in the 120th minute and assisted the winner in the 121st minute.

He also won more duels (9) and created more chances (4) than any other Manchester United player, made eight clearances, won possession seven times and won all three of his tackles.

Patrick Dorgu is a young player with raw potential no doubt about it. But let’s be honest: he's still a work in progress. You watch him one week and think, “Yeah, there’s a baller in there.” The next week, you're left scratching your head. That’s what you get with young, developing players sha. They're inconsistent. Hot and cold. Moments of brilliance followed by patches of confusion as we have seenn this season.

But isn’t this exactly what a rebuild looks like?

We keep saying we want a fresh start, a long-term project, a squad built from the ground up. Well, this is part of it. Young players getting thrown into deep waters. Some will swim, some will need time, and yes, some might sink. Not every youngster will be the next star. Some will come good, others won’t. That’s the risk and the reality.

Dorgu has shown flashes of quality, but like many prospects, he needs time, guidance, and most importantly – a strong team structure around him. That’s where standards eventually come into play. Once you’ve crafted a well-balanced, high-performing team, then you can demand consistency. Then you can hold players to higher expectations.

But until then? Buckle up. This is the ride we signed up for. This is what rebuilds actually look like.
