We have been reliably informed that certain groups of individuals across Bekwarra, Obudu, and Obanliku are currently assembling people in different locations to make videos and create false impressions that primary elections are taking place today, the 25th of May, 2026.
This development raises serious questions because the primary elections were officially conducted on the 5th of May, 2026, and not today.
The public should therefore be aware that any video released today claiming that any aspirant other than Hon. Theresa Ushie won the primary election was recorded today and does not represent the actual events of the officially recognized primary process.
We maintain that Hon. Theresa Ushie remains the only aspirant who genuinely went to the field, engaged with the people, and carried out a transparent grassroots primary process. We also have evidence, including timestamped recordings, showing individuals counting and assembling people today across Bekwarra, Obudu, and Obanliku.
The world is watching, and we urge the public to critically examine any misleading content released in an attempt to rewrite events that have already taken place.
