Saudi Prince Passes Away After 20 Years in Coma

With deep sadness, it has been confirmed that Saudi Arabian Prince Al-Waleed bin Khalid Al-Saud, famously known as the “Sleeping Prince,” has passed away at the age of 36, after spending nearly two decades in a coma.

The young royal was involved in a tragic car accident in London in 2005, which left him in a deep coma. Despite medical advice over the years to discontinue life support, his family refused to give up, holding on to faith and hope that he would one day recover.

For 20 long years, his condition remained unchanged. His family believed his survival was a sign that his time had not yet come. Sadly, today, their hopes have come to an end.

🕊️ May His Soul Rest in Perfect Peace.

What is your opinion? on the Brink of Historic Expansion: 12 New States Proposed Across the Federation!

A major milestone is unfolding in Nigeria’s political landscape as the Senatorial Committee on State Creation has concluded its nationwide consultation and submitted its recommendations.

In a bold move to enhance governance, inclusion, and grassroots development, twelve (12) new states have been proposed — two from each of the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria:

🟩 South West Zone:
1. Ijebu State – carved from present-day Ogun State
2. Ibadan State – from the current Oyo State

🟪 South East Zone:
1. Anim State – from parts of Anambra and Imo States
2. Adada State – from Enugu State

🟧 South South Zone:
1. Toru-Ibe State – from areas of Ondo, Edo, and Delta States
2. Obolo State – from Akwa Ibom State

🟥 North East Zone:
1. Savanna State – from Borno State
2. Amana State – from Adamawa State

🟦 North West Zone:
1. Tiga State – from Kano State
2. Gurara State – from Southern Kaduna

🟨 North Central Zone:
1. Okura State – from Kogi State
2. Apa State – from Benue State

This historic proposal aims to bring governance closer to the people, promote equity among ethnic groups, and stimulate sustainable development across underrepresented regions.

While the proposal still awaits constitutional processes and legislative ratification, this development is a clear indication that Nigeria is evolving toward deeper federalism and decentralization.

I, Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Adeyeri III, Ajirotutu I, the Aseyin of Iseyin, had the honour of attending the official launch of the “Guidelines for Alternative Care of Children in Oyo State”, organized by the Oyo State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Inclusion.

It was a privilege to serve as the Royal Father of the Day and the Chief Launcher at this impactful event held today, July 16, 2025.

As a traditional ruler, I firmly uphold the values of compassion, protection, and inclusion, especially for our children — the future of our communities. I commend the Ministry’s dedication to ensuring that vulnerable children are given safe, nurturing, and sustainable care alternatives.

May this initiative continue to guide us toward a more just, inclusive, and child-centered society.
