At this point, he won't be able to bench Morgan Rogers, who is one of the most durable players in the Premier League.

How can Alonso reportedly say Tosin is important to his project, while the club is willing to let Chalobah leave? 🤔

For what exactly? What has Tosin really offered since joining Chelsea that makes him untouchable? Meanwhile, Chalobah is a player who came through the academy and has already shown that he loves and can fight for this badge. 😩

Chalobah is better than Tosin and Fofana in combine 💯

Everyone's ready to talk about a "rebuild" like it's some masterclass. Chelsea are not squad-building, they are panic spending and it's dressed up as ambition.

The club is coming off a 10th-place finish and suddenly acting like one marquee signing fixes a squad that's been dysfunctional for three years running.

Look at what actually left: Cucurella out the door, and with him goes one of the only experienced heads in that back line. Replaced by a teenager in Jorrel Hato and a loan-listed Barco. That's not addressing the problem, that's hoping a 19-year-old solves it for you.

Newcastle know exactly who they are. Forest know exactly who they are. Chelsea are still figuring out their identity while burning through their fourth manager in two years. You can't out-spend a lack of direction.

In fact, I can assure you that teams like Newcastle and Nottingham Forest will finish above them.

First of all, I’m seriously questioning some of Xabi Alonso’s decisions, especially when it comes to the players he wants for his project.

This is exactly why Chelsea should be careful about giving managers too much freedom in the transfer market. Sometimes, you give them the money and they will use it to buy the exact things you were trying to avoid. 😂

How can Alonso reportedly say Tosin is important to his project, while the club is willing to let Chalobah leave? 🤔

Then, when it comes to the transfer market, we are hearing names like Granit Xhaka, Danny Welbeck and Jordan Henderson. 😭😭

I honestly don't understand the direction of this project anymore.

The football pattern is also confusing me. We were outplayed by Sydney Wanderers and then lost to a 10-man Tottenham side. Yes, I know it's pre-season, but as they say, the person who ignores the signs will eventually meet the consequences. 👀
My fellow Chelsea fans, I'm not saying we should panic, but we should also not enter the new season with our eyes closed. 😂

If the board doesn't get serious and strengthen this squad with an established goalkeeper, at least two quality defenders and a top midfielder—and maybe even hijack the Bruno Guimarães deal if possible—then, honestly, I don't see this team finishing in the Top 6.

For your own mental health, lower your expectations a little bit this season. 😂🙏
Because from what I'm seeing so far, Alonso may not bring anything significantly different from what we saw under Maresca. In fact, if things go badly, we might start missing Maresca before Christmas. 😭😂

But hey, football can surprise you. Maybe Alonso will prove all of us wrong and turn Chelsea into a machine. I sincerely hope he does. 💙
